Missing out on any pick. We’d lose our pick to Chicago.
I'm well aware. The drop from top-5 to 15 would be much bigger than the drop from 15 to no pick, so I'm focused on the more significant aspect.

Still--this team going from 14-28 to making the playoffs would be pretty crazy, and would suggest that they might have something significant cooking for next year.

We were 13-28

Won despite not being really sharp with the ballhandling tonight. Nice to see Shaedon with the good offensive game -- still the worst defender on the team by a wide margin but the effort's there now, really has to learn to handle screens.

Ant played great down the stretch, which, again, showed me why you don't just trade him unless you get a decent return.

Clingan's hands are really an issue. He was such an offensive liability tonight, losing the ball, missing point-blank shots and missing FTs, but he did just enough with his defense and screens to offset that.

He's just SO big and so slow. I just have never loved drafting centers. I'd rather sign or trade for them after they have figured it out. He will probably end up being fine, but Ware sure looks good this season. If you go down the draft though, most of the guys taken after Clingan are pretty bad... or just mediocre.

I don't like drafting lumbering centers either. But this was a really bad draft so Clingan is fine.

Yeah, that's the thing.... the draft was terrible. The guy I wanted (Cody Williams) has been awful.

I'm just glad we didn't end up with Salaun.

Yep, there was a reason so many of us were high on Ware. Still, Clingan's presence defensively is undeniable, and was pretty impactful, particularly in the 2nd quarter tonight.

We're two wins behind the 9th 10th 11th teams.

2-1 tie breaker advantage over Sac with one more game against them.

Definitely think a lumbering center can be part of a 9 man rotation. I just don't know Clingan could ever be a big minute starter.

That's totally fine in an epically weak draft. Just getting any rotation player is very good.

Dalano should stay in the rotation... it's hard when we have a lot of good but not great players but I do think Dalano gives a different look on offense.
Who's minutes does he take though?

Holy shit.. Rockets have lost 5 in a row????

Does that coincide with Amen being moved to starting point guard?

Agreed, but that's why I don't really hate on Ayton that much.

Basically everyone is healthy at this moment but odds are someone will sit out at some point in not too long.

Also he can just be the 9th man as tonight, especially on B2B.

Yeah if Scoot is hurt he will definitely get minutes.

I always get confused with this Chicago pick. What’s the deal with it again?

Was hoping to see a little Walker small ball. Clingan needs some time

Ayton certainly has more talent and quickness. Just so frustrating watching him not even attempt to defend for multiple plays every quarter. Yeah Clingan fumbles passes or makes mistakes at times too. Difference is Clingan is trying.

Ayton might be the most lazy NBA player I've ever seen.

So if we land between 15-30 than we don’t even have a 1st round pick this year?

Ayton and Sharpe are very similar in that you never know what you're going to get from game to game.
