According to Joe this is the year to see what they have in one of the youngest teams in the league...seems like Sharpe is about to light up the leader board. Scoot is vastly improved..Toumani and Deni are already beasts, Clingan got 10 off and 10 def boards in Denver against Jokic....I'd say the future is bright. Banton is a great 6 man with Walker Murray, Rupert, McGowan and Reath and the new French guy..the vets Ant, Grant, Williams and Ayton...we actually have a deep bench any way you slice it. Ant will be gone in the summer I'm pretty sure. Williams probably as well.

We're all rooting for him to tear it up, but he hasn't been. Hopefully tonight is the start of his Neo phase where everything starts to click. Career high in points plus an awesome dunk... while coming off the bench

Deni played his worst when he had the ball least. Some players need responsibility to thrive and Shaedon has shown that numerous times throughout his career.

Only reason Shaedon scored 36 points tonight was because the Deni injury opened up minutes and touches for him. If we cleared the runway for him every night, this would become old hat. It’s obvious.

@STOMP seems to prefer that the Blazers force the ball to Jerami Grant. Grant has the worst PER at 11.1 of the 9 Blazers that have played the most minutes, he is 30 years old, is shooting 38% on 2pt field goals, and is #1 on the team in minutes per game.

So Sharpe needs to "earn" his minutes according to these posters - only when he does earn them just as Scoot did earlier this year they want underserving vets to bench them. Vets that are clearly playing inferior. This makes zero sense.

Earned? Obviously way too much. I've already shared this opinion of mine with you that I've held since prior to him resigning (I was for letting him walk), many times. Hell, I was on here arguing against trading the Bucks pick for him originally.

I'm very much on record for thinking it was a collasal mistake to sign him to the contract they did, but thats reality. If they could cut him I'm guessing they would... but they can't. If they could trade him for an expiring even if it meant including a future 1st, I'd be for it. I've shared that opinion with you as well and yet off you go again into pretend land again where, laughably, you've stated you believe management is holding out for multiple 1sts coming back

What's he going to do....demand a trade? Pout? From what I can see, Jerami seems to be happy living in Portland and getting paid. That is not meant to be a compliment or a criticism.
But I honestly don't think he would be unhappy if he came off the bench or had his minutes reduced. And if he did.....why would we care?

Sharpe has the skills and athletic talent to play like this every night—he just can’t motivate himself to do so. Let’s see if this game is a turning point for him. I hope it is.

Still has to figure it out on defense and get a bit tighter with his handle.

He had that one defensive possession where he D'd up the ball around halfcourt and really hounded the guy. But there were a lot of moments where he got beat too easily, I remember one time he and a teammate collided and I think Coulibily got a dunk, and I thought he fouled Smart on the 3 where there was no call and Smart got T'd up. His anticipation is spotty; he made a great read on the steal for the dunk of the year. It's just odd, because he was so good during the tank stretch his rookie year.

He'll get a lot longer leash if Deni's out. Maybe his offense will translate to him playing better defense.
