Wow Troy Murphy is also out and Zion is game time decision not playing last night.

Kind of surprised Pelicans are a betting favorite, almost tempted to put some money on the Blazers but just can't imagine myself betting that we will win this year.

Think I've made about 20 bets so far this NBA season and none of them are for the Blazers to win.
Great win!

Ended up betting $208 when I saw Zion was out and had a net profit of $200 for tonight's game. Don't expect I'll bet on the Blazers to win much this year so nice they could help me out.

I still don't understand how the Pelicans were favored with 5 of their best 6 players out and on the 2nd of a back to back.

I liked Banton when he played in Toronto. I was miffed when Boston buried him on their bench. I’m even more confused why he’s at the end of our bench.

6’6”, smooth, with guard skills.
I’ll be honest FAMS…..Banton and Rob Williams were playing against in a pickup game in PHX…standing about 5 feet away from them and they are the exact same height.

So between Simons/Grant/Ayton those three had 59 points with a total of 3 turnovers. Only one other player scored in double digits (Banton). Banton is pretty much an end of bench player that doesn't rebound or pass the ball so he's bound to score against a team playing their end of bench.

Is this the meaningless win that we've been warned about costing us the #1 pick in the draft next summer?

Twice this game the Pels announcers saying Rupert just into the game when he'd been in the game for at least 4 minutes. Last game we played them they're play-by-play guy thought Rayan was Camara for 5 minutes.
They might actually be worse than our announcers

It was a fun fourth quarter. We did it against a Pelicans team that was playing without any of their top 5 players. It’s another win when what our franchise needs is losses. Again though, I was into it that last quarter and I don’t fault our guys for playing their butts off. GO BLAZERS!!!

We're fine, re: the lottery.

It doesn't matter where we finish in the bottom three, so you might as well be third, but, TBH, even fourth doesn't change your odds a ton.

We're tied for seventh right now. Beneath us are the Pels, Sixers and Bucks. We'll end up worse than seventh, and you never really know how the ping pong balls will turn out.

It certainly does matter significantly where the Blazers finish in the lottery. It's not just the odds of #1... its what pick slot the Blazers fall back to if they are outside the top4.

The worst record won't fall past #5. So that team is guaranteed a top5 pick.

The Blazers are currently tied for the 10th worst record. So if they lose coin flips and get jumped in the lottery they can fall all the way to pick #14.

If the team ends up with the 5th worst record which has very similar odds to the worst record for #1 overall - but they can fall to pick #9.

Don’t worry. The Blazers never fail to disappoint. They will be in the leagues bottom 3.

Shit they look like twins out there. When I’m clipping off and saving plays during action I can honestly say a few times a game I give Camara credit for a Rupert play and the other way around.
