KFC has Edey poundin' drumsticks in new commercial. Blazers should draft him.

There so many teams in the West trying to win right now. DAL, DEN, OKC, MINN + LAL, LAC, SAC, PHX, GST
In the East it’s BOS + IND, NY, PHIL, MIA, ORL …

Trade Season during the draft! Portland has to go all-in with YOUTH.
I accept next year is tanktastic … but I’m also accepting that the Blazers are lottery bound in 2026 as well.
Ant, Grant, Brogdon, and Matisse will do well on their next teams. This is the way to rebuild.

I think the thing that people on here and fans of our team in general are missing is that the last two seasons have been really inorganic tanks. We've been babying injuries that guys would usually play through and sitting our best players the last quarter or more of the season. That shit sucks to watch. A team with Malcolm Brogdon, Jerami Grant, Deandre Ayton, Anfernee Simons and Matisse Thybull with a young feisty bench should have won right around 35 games but instead chose to lose all but 21.

It will be exciting to see a real committed youth rebuild even if it results in around the same wins because the young guys will be able to give us full effort and some stretches of really exciting ball... they'll also get better as the season progresses making the team more and more watchable instead of what we've had the last two seasons of watching our team get less and less watchable as the season drags on and on.

I still can't buy this Clingsn bullshit. It's hilarious how much mocks are pumping this dude's value now after Givony.

The notion of Sarr being available at 3 is very tough for me to believe, but if even remotely true, we need to make all efforts to move up for him.

Totally agree - yeah I want to see our vets traded for youth/picks/lesser valued vets - then we give 100% effort to win. Might even be able to improve the value of the new vets (and potentially reflip). Would be way more enjoyable to watch NBA quality guys playing all year and not these G league castoff irrelevant scrubs.

So by this logic, taking Salaun at 7 would be the same as taking another young pick from Trail Blazers history in Jermaine Oneil who was a high school aged 17th pick in the draft!
Could be about right. Also in the prior quoted post I discussed trading away #7 for a future pick when we had acquired #5.

I hope your right and the Blazers have no Clingan interest.

I fear its another of these cases of the Blazers plans being leaked way prior.

Often I wonder if Schmitz has done his due diligence and decided Clingan is the only player worth a top 7 pick. Who knows.

Barring any trading up I think the picks for Portland are Salaun/ Williams at 7 and Holland/ Eddy at 14.

#7 in this draft is basically worth #17 in a normal draft - would much rather roll the dice on an unprotected pick many years out.

So you prefer to take your chances on the Lakers sucking in 7 years instead of taking a chance on Salaun or Williams this year.....
because people think the draft at 7 is weak? That might help us in 2033 or 2034, but certainly not in 2026 or 2027. That is crazy.

Pacome Dadiet emerges as a top-20 talent

There are far more proven commodities in the 2024 NBA Draft, but Dadiet is tantalizing. The 6-8 wing is still just 18, but the shooting stroke is gorgeous. He projects more as an off-ball wing, but his ability to attack long closeouts and make jumpers off the bounce is ideal. He's one of the top off-the-dribble, shot-makers in this class. Plus, there's real playmaking in his tape, and he's an excellent cutter from the slot who cuts hard whether he gets it or not. All of that stuff translates. The Frenchman has a shot to be a real gem. --Trotter

Would Toronto give us 19 and 31 for 14? Or New York 24 and 25 for 14?

My guess the Blazers IF interested in #3 would make this offer and if the Rockets bite cool and if not then whatever

( player ) means maybe throw in to sweeten deal but nothing major

#7 and a future 2nd and Brogs - ( Reath ) for #3 and J. Landale

I would be ok with this deal now granted a gamble but we have no idea how healthy Brogs is or is not and that would be the biggest sticking point but if the Rockets are cool with it -- I am too but would not give up anymore to move up in a average draft

They have Kessler already.
Hopefully he becomes available...
Rumor is that Kessler is clashing with coaches. They want him to work on screening & being a garbage man. Kessler has been trying to develop a 3
