Report: Rockets open to trading 3rd overall pick to Nets for Mikal Bridges

Where is Risacher? Had him low 4th tier on an earlier try so apparently dropped him off altogether.

he explains in a subsequent post that for him Risacher is a 5th tier prospect, essentially a g-league tier player.

He also doesn’t view Cody Williams as a draftable prospect.

Just the 3rd pick?

I think the Nets have come to the realization that they need to start over. Trade Bridges and get Castle and you have your PG for the next decade.
The Rockets get Bridges and probably dump Brook's contract

My 2 biggest hang ups with taking Clingan are 1) watching Edey own him in the tournament and 2) his cardio is bad...like, real bad.
OTOH Edey is said to be in great condition. I'm not saying take Edey, I'm saying I think Clingan has more drawbacks than just his foot speed.

Rumors of #3 for Bridges going around twitter today.

This absolutely pisses me off to no end after hearing multiple times that the Nets rejected 3 AND Ant for Bridges last summer in a far better draft. Idiots.

Yeah but this is much better draft.

OK I am kidding, I am guessing they just were not ready to start over last year. And a Castle-Thomas backcourt is a not bad way to go.

The best part of most internet rumors is that by the time you hear about them they are already dead. The last long lasting rumor I can remember actually happening was Jerami Grant becoming a Blazer.

Like that Jeremy Grant to Portland thing. And the Ayton to Portland thing.

J/k, you're probably right.

Considering the 1st pick this year is said to be 8th-10th in a "normal stocked draft", Topic is probably a late lotto pick when healthy in a "normal draft" if healthy. Since he is not, I can not see how he does not drop out of the lotto. He should have withdrawn from the 2024 draft right away. The fact he has had this injury for five months and not had surgery is just crazy and he is not getting good advice. He should be doing pool work. Just amazing. I guess they figure an NBA team will take on the surgery and rehab all the while he sits out his rookie season and will be a project when he finally gets on the court.

He's definitely worth a swing with the #14 pick.

I think who ever has said this is embellishing quite a bit. I mean Anthony Black went 6th last year. No one here doesn't think Castle or Topic is as good as him? Let alone Risacher or Sarr?

He probably is worth a swing at 14, but Portland has plenty of guard depth until they actually move one or two. This team needs to get the best available 3 and 4 in this draft if possible.

I am in agreement that there is too much hyperbole trashing this draft. It is just because there is no Wemby.
we have two lottery picks, so I think the hyperbole is sorta warranted. if we had the 17th and 25th picks I'd be grinning from ear-to-ear; you're gonna get proper value there.

If Topic is at 14 and there’s nothing beyond a normal ACL injury, then draft and stash. It’s a tanktastic move. If he’s at 7, it’s a tougher call for me — but if Schmitz takes the swing, I’ll roll with it.

The issue is, ~7 was his projection before ACL
