So this constant talk on here about the GOLD medal count for the past 3 weeks.....do those who were all wrapped up in that actually think China had as successful a games as we did? Even if they had 5 more golds or whatever..... USA dominated these games. Most medals ever right?

Well said sir/ma'am.I agree. The total medal count is what I look at when I think of who "won" the Olympics.
China has about 1 billion more people than the USA. 1 billion more potential Olympic athletes. And we got more overall medals.
