Speed climbing is an olympic event now? How long has that been?

Looks like since 2020.
Last Olympics "Sport Climbing" was a combination of Lead Climbing, Bouldering, and Speed Climbing. Since speed climbing is sort of a joke, they separated it out from the other two. Beijing was the first Olympics to have any type of climbing. Bouldering and Lead Climbing are worth the watch, speed climbing is pretty monotonous in my opinion.

Seeing a new record set is always amusing though. They look like frilled lizards running on water; dynoing all the way up.

He’s right!
I could not have told you one name of a member of the men’s gymnastics team.

That Australia v Canada rugby final was a crazy finish. I'll be honest, I don't really understand the scoring, but Canada came back from 12-0 to win 21-12 in the final minutes.

Seemed like 5 points for a try, then 2 more for a post-try conversion. The conversion part was interesting...seems like they have to kick the conversion attempt from wherever they cross the line into the try zone, which I could see having an impact on strategy.

France demonstrating that you can't win without at least half-decent guards.

Future Blazer Rui Hachimura seems to have significantly outplayed the future GOAT

Makes sense.

USA sends home Australia without a medal!

There’s an Oregonian on the indoor volleyball team which beat Germany today 3 sets to 2
Taylor Averill

You can view the USA Olympian map here

Oregon has 8 Athletes representing the State.

Volleyball, Basketball, Track and Field (Shotput), Rowing, Fencing, Cycling.

Hah! Suck it, Yanks! Quality over quantity:

(Enjoying this brief moment before the track and field events change everything...)
