Kinda glad I'm not a team that drafted Cooper Flagg #1. I mean, I would be surprised if he didn't turn out to be really good, but he certainly hasn't popped so far. I bet some fans are getting restless. (Probably helps him that Dylan Harper went down and VJ has cooled off.) Maybe Kevin Garnett is the right comparison, considering his unexceptional rookie year.

I think the rookies this year have been solid, but nothing "holy crap" worthy.

Nice to see that Coward has returned to earth.

Yikes. This feels like a summer league game.

Am I the only one that feels the Mavs are doing a soft tank this season? When you're starting Brandon Williams over DeAngelo Russell and giving him more minutes than Klay Thompson, Russell, Max Christie and Naji Russell and no one's in foul trouble, it just feels sus.

As for the game itself, Shaedon had the king of inefficient halves and got in foul trouble, too, but if he doesn't pick up a quick fourth foul quickly, he should get 30 tonight. Just not valuing the ball right now. Settling for shots because he can get them rather than taking ones he should take.

Nice 24 minutes for Toumani, Jerami, Clingan and quietly for Murray (4 reb, 2 assts, 2 steals).

OK, let's get this train wreck back a'rollin'.
