Nice win tonight!

Here's a look at how this year's record compares to last year's -

Going into tonight's game against Milwaukee, the Blazers had the same record as last year at this point, 7-10. I think this team is better than last year's team, but the West is strong.

No more tanking. This team plays hard and is going for the win every night.

If Williams is still playing like this at the trade deadline, he will be gone...right?
An ending cheap contract like his, you would think a contender might offer a low 1st round pick. I would hate losing him, though.

Was there a reason for the dropoff at this point last season? ( Injuries, strength of schedule etc.).

Needless to say, Grant played very well. (+39)
Interesting to me is that almost the whole team is shooting over 50% from 2 pt range for the season.
Not so well from 3. However, Grant is around 42%

a lot of Calf and Hamstring injuries. I just don't know if this is more than normal, or it only seems more than normal

Well like Shai he falls down every time he shoots. Hate the new NBA (fouls are called almost every possession) and I hate that I can’t stop watching because I love my Blazers.
made me curious about fouls, so I'll check as I type

2025-26....NBA average is 21.5 (per team)
Last season - 18.6
2021-22....19.6
2016-17....19.9
2010-11.....20.7
2006-07....22,2
2005-06....22.8
2002-03....21.8
2000-01....22.3
1995-96....23.0
1992-93....23.2
1990-91....23.2
1987-88....24.1
1985-86....25.2
1980-81....25.1
1976-77....25.1 (Blazers Win!!....And NBA/ABA merge)
1970-71....24.4
1965-66....26.2

1960-61....26.8
1955-56....26.4
1954-55....24.8 - first season of the shot clock era

so it kind of looks like the NBA has incrementally been calling fewer and fewer fouls over the years. So far, this season is looking like an aberration. Now, I don't have any numbers to support this but my suspicion is that fouls are called more often at the beginning of seasons as officials try and enforce new rules and influence player action. So, that number may drop over the course of the season. Be interesting to re-visit this in March
