it was 2 or 3 games ago that somebody in a game thread here actually said they wondered if Clingan actually had a future in the NBA. Not many scrubs can be 1 rebound away from a 20 & 20

I though Krejci had a nice game. He didn't try to do too much and displayed rally good court vision

Memphis has put themselves into position for a pretty effective organic tank to close the season

Cissoko is only 2 games away from his max on a two-way; Love is 6 games away

Yeah, you're right if we can feed Clingan in the post on offense it would offset that immobility on D.

That being said if we don't make teams pay for going small then it becomes almost a voluntary handicap for our team.

maybe for some of those

but for drop-coverage C's, whether it Clingan or Gobert or Zubac or Embiid or Edey, the rotations among the perimeter players need to be tight. The C can't charge back and forth like a yo-yo. Most of the resistance and close outs need to come from wings and guards

The combo of him and Yang definitely don't make a lot of sense with the team's stated schemes or the direction of the league.

Clingan and possibly even Yang would have been all stars in the 80s and 90s.

I think we can hang on to one of them but we have to have a switchable C who could hopefully stretch the floor on offense to platoon with either of those giants.

Don’t understand any Clingan hate. He’s a beast. He keeps getting better. And, thus far, he has shown he works on the weaknesses that get exposed. I expect he’ll continue to do so.

Clingan needs the defensive scheme catered to his strengths. This is what I kept saying during his draft. But we dont really do that so he gets exposed.

Yang is a ploy to get more attention from china. Nothing more
