This is isn't an either or thing. It's that the DNC is spineless wimps
Listen to Ron Wyden's speech against troops in Portland just the other day...he's hardly a spineless wimp but there are plenty of those in both parties. If you've followed the Senate oversight committee hearings you'll hear plenty of Dems with backbone....unfortunately Schumer isn't one of them.

You're confusing individual democrats with the DNC.

No I am not confusing them. I said there are plenty that fit the description but if you follow the hearings you’ll see who has plenty of backbone. As I said, Schuman is not but he’s not representative of AOC or Jasmine Crockett or Wyden or several other dems fighting this uphill partisan standoff

Every person working on special education in federal government has been fired. Disabled children are pretty useless.

The DNC doesn't have any ability to lead the fight. That's not its charter.

No one gives two shits what the head of the DNC says, or even knows who he is. (It's Ken Martin, and yes, I had to google it).

Individual democrats ARE the party. Structurally it's a whole lot more like antifa than General Motors or the Department of Agriculture.

I liked Keith Olbermann's suggestion. He said stop doing press conference in DC. When a senior care facility shuts down in Kentucky because big ugly bill eliminates funds, be there and make the connection. When a rural hospital closes. The Democrats who are generating excitement are the ones who are in the community. It's how an unknown Mamdani is favorite to be mayor of New York. How an unknown state legislator named Barack Obama got speaking slot at DNC and elected to Senate...

MAGA Mike said absolutely no negotiations until Democrats cave.

Political movements are driven by leaders. Typically for Dems that is the most powerful Democrat in the country. Who are the most well-known Democrats in this country? Obama. Biden. Hillary. Bernie. AOC... Anybody else?

Hillary and Biden are obviously out of the picture (whether they want to be or not).

Now you're left with Obama (out of the picture by choice), Bernie, and AOC. I certainly don't think Bernie is going to run for president, though he's still been about the biggest voice opposing the right... And Democratic leadership tend to fight Bernie, AOC, and other progressives.

The party needs to shift it's support to a leader with an ideology and who is pushing policies that will make huge improvements for most all middle class and poor. Universal Healthcare. Universal Access to Education. Eliminating homelessness.

They need to stop with advocating for any restrictions on these people. They can't afford to lose those votes. Any solution that would advocate for a restriction could be addressed by offering incentives and education.

Otherwise Democrats are left supporting and advocating for a status quo that has absolutely gutted the middle class and been horrific for the poor.

Well, Chucky and Jeffries. Since you said well-known rather than well-respected. And Nancy Pelosi, I guess. Kamala is pretty well-known at this point.

I'm not clear on what 'restrictions on these people' means here? Who is being restricted from what?

Bernie is not a Democrat...he's an independent who caucuses with the dems...he's an independent democrat or a democratic socialist. He is a liberal, but I don't believe he is a registered democrat
Bernard Sanders (born September8, 1941) is an American politician and activist serving as the seniorUnited States senator from Vermont, a seat he has held since 2007. He is the longest-serving independent in U.S. congressional history, but maintains a close relationship with the Democratic Party, having caucused with House and Senate Democrats for most of his congressional career and sought the party's presidential nomination in 2016 and 2020. Sanders has been viewed as one of the main leaders of the modern American progressive movement.

While that is true, it is beside the point. He ran as a Democrat and if he had won he would be setting the agenda for the DNC.

If the DNC got on board with his platform then I have no doubt that he would register as a Democrat.

They might be keeping the government shut down long enough to make the specially elected democrat useless by gerrymandering Louisiana to gain 19 republican seats, closing the door on ever releasing the Epstein files.

Government will no longer reimburse doctors who treat patients on Medicare.

Don't fuck with boomers.
