Event 2025 NBA DRAFT LOTTERY, COMBINE, AND DRAFT (1 Viewer)

If I came on here last summer and told you guys that the Mavs would trade Luka for Anthony Davis and Max Christie and then the Mavs would win the #1 pick with 1.8% odds, you would tell me I was fucking crazy and stupid.

THAT is why it's extremely hard to believe that this shit is legit.

Occam's Razor.... when faced with multiple possible explanations for an event, the one that requires the fewest assumptions or variables is likely the correct one. The Dallas Mavericks gave up a young superstar for a bad haul so that they would eventually get the #1 pick. The NBA is an entertainment league. Viewership is down a TON. They're desperate to get eyeballs back on their league. They put one of their top 5 best players back in Los Angeles and now they have rebuilt one of their other dynasties in a matter of four years with one of the best young cores we have seen in a while. Or was it the galaxy that decided the Spurs should return to power?

Or maybe the Mavs GM is a complete moron and the Mavs beat insane odds to win the #1 pick.
Yeah, because anytime you can get big market San Antonio to get a generational prospect over, say, small market Houston, you rig it like that every time.

Well lastest 5.0 draft has us picking another midget guard. Do we really need another guard
TEAM: Saint-Quentin (France) USA today 31 minutes ago

POSITION: Guard

HEIGHT: 6-3

DRAFT AGE: 19.1

After a slow start to his season in France, based on his priors before this season, it was only a matter of time before Nolan Traoré eventually started to heat up.

He is averaging 16.6 points and 5.4 assists per game while shooting 48.1 percent on 3-pointers over the course of his last five games, per RealGM. Traoré was named 2025 Best Young Player of the Basketball Champions League and is inarguably one of the best playmakers in the 2025 NBA Draft. If he is more consistent at the next level, he could become something special.

Brooklyn is a big market. Flagg would look pretty good there. Chicago is a big market. He'd look great there. But instead they send him to Dallas as a reward. Seriously, why do you guys fucking watch?

Maybe if we had traded Dame to his preferred destination the NBA would have given us a number 1 pick? Naaaah doubt it.

Though it would've been nice that Portland got Flagg so that a 15 year dynasty was secured, I'm of the opinion the team already has "Kobe-Odom". It even has "Bynum" and "Ariza".

As such, I simply think the key for Portland is to find a Ron Artest. Someone along the Kukoc/Cliff/Kersey tier player that gets selected outside the lottery.

Trade for assets and then, go crazy and pick up lengthy wings/forwards and international wings in every draft.

Maybe even gamble on "Pau Gasol" in Sabonis by trading the #11 (many of you have forgotten how Pau Gasol's reputation was similar prior to being an "actual winner").

I think Camara is close enough to Artest. Size-wise, great defense, scoring (at least when he was with the Lakers)

Either way, take the best available.

Nah, Blazers don't get return favors for trading their stars. They are expected to do it to restock large market teams. It's their purpose in the league.

Brooklyn is a second tier team in NY.

Dallas is just as big of a market (8.3M MSA) as Chicago (9.4M).

It's not necessarily about the market size. Wemby idolized those Spurs old teams....

Why do they give a fuck if he idolized the Spurs if they're a smaller market that doesn't drive ratings?

If it's not about market size and ratings, the conspiracy shit goes poof, no? Since the theory is it's all money based.

No

We gave Cronin and Billups a new contract to fuck the team over -- nice job Jody or whoever is running this shit show

Cronin better find a way to turn chicken shit into the best chicken salad ever -- period
Please explain how those three got the NBA to rig the draft so that Portland landed where they were statistically most likely to, Utah got screwed and Dallas got lucky. Did Jody slip Ernst and Young a billion dollars to fake the results?

I don't even want to see what Jazz fans are saying!

Because where Flagg goes is irrelevant to the equation. Luka in LA is the key. The league is desperate to have a superstar in Los Angeles. Are you guys aware of how dire the situation is right now for the NBA? The Lakers are BY FAR their most watched team.

People are not watching the league as much anymore. https://www.forbes.com/sites/bradad...4-25-nba-regular-season-ratings-declined-by2/

So do you guys really think the NBA wouldn't rig a lottery in order to shift around stars to try to kick start viewership? They don't care about Portland.

So if it took the #1 pick to get Dallas to dump Luka to LA, the NBA would do that in a heart beat.

Also, tell me you don't understand Occam's Razor without telling me. Instead of the simples explanation, lottery odds, you go grand conspiracy theory. LOL.

Look how well Lakers did in playoffs with two stars!

Except you’re taking out the odds of an NBA team basically going full stupid and trading a young superstar in his prime for a shitty trade against any and all logic.

That is completely irrelevant and unrelated. Teams make terrible trades all the time. It's not part of some grand conspiracy. You've been crying about this for like 10 years now. Why the fuck do you even watch? Seriously? Just to whine and bitch and be miserable? WTF?

So all the irritating, idiotic posts during every Blazer game this year proved to be wrong as a team with worse odds than us won it all....again. Ainge knows how to tank! Oops

Not one of the bottom 3, who tanked the hardest for those great odds ...... ended up with a top 3 pick.

 I’m glad the lottery gods didn’t reward the tanking teams.

No it’s not. It’s part of the conspiracy theory. You can’t have one without the other.

Sorry I offended your sensibilities.

I don’t watch. I used to be a huge NBA fan. Not just the blazers. I loved watching the NBA. Now I couldn’t care less and I’m borderline on the blazers. I have reduced my participation in this forum drastically but I guess even that is too much for you?

A young lazy fat ass who plays no defense. He ain’t leading the Lakers nowhere. And I’m here for it.

HA HA HA!! You admitting you don’t watch the NBA says a lot. It explains your insane opinions.

Why would I still watch the rest of the league? It’s still superstar favoritism. Or are you saying that doesn’t exist?
