No it’s not. It’s part of the conspiracy theory. You can’t have one without the other.

Sorry I offended your sensibilities.

I don’t watch. I used to be a huge NBA fan. Not just the blazers. I loved watching the NBA. Now I couldn’t care less and I’m borderline on the blazers. I have reduced my participation in this forum drastically but I guess even that is too much for you?

I used to be a huge fan too, but the NBA has gone to shit. It's become an exclusive members club where only a few teams are allowed to succeed and win championships. And, it's fucking obvious.

Still, a Blazers fan of course. But, it just gets harder knowing they will never be allowed to win anything.

Either does purgatory. Which is where we are at.

Our team sucks. Not good enough for the playoffs, and we probably wont be for at least half a decade. Accept it. I have.

We will always be in some purgatory or the other.

As pissed off as we are for not moving up 10 places....the top 3 teams must be devastated in THIS draft to ALL drop out of the top 3.

....Also F those other teams.

The league doesn't wan't tanking. They can't reward it.

They also aren't picking at 11

Yup. I am. I don’t believe any ridiculous conspiracy theories. The best TEAMS win.
There is luck. Curry getting injured. Shit beyond anyone's control. Like who wins lottery.

Chicago is a much bigger media market than Dallas, if it was fixed Bulls get pick.

Some things I thought about once the rage went away (I'm joking about the rage part).

It's kind of pointless to complain about how they finish the season now, as the last 2 lotto winners were both a part of the play-in.

The league should eliminate those teams as potential lotto picks, IMHO.

Also, when LeBron left the Cavs, they got the #1 pick.

When Anthony Davis was traded from the Pelicans, they got the #1 pick.

The Mavs gift the Lakers their best player (and arguably a top 5 player in the league), and they get the # 1 pick.

Portland trades their best player and their reward? The 7th pick.

Thankfully there's no guarantee in life, but JFC, the league really has a weird way about making things fair.

I'd really be pissed if I was a Jazz, Wizards or Hornets fan.

Because it was a trade? Luka for Flagg. How can you say it doesn’t make sense? Some of us were calling this to happen MONTHS ago.
You were complaint about the Spurs winning the lottery when this thread started. The didn't
Now it's Dallas? No matter who won it thered be a bunch of crazy conspiracy posts.

Maybe step away from the ledge?

Team was a whole 12 games out of the playoffs (and 3 games from the play-in). They aren't an old team on the way out, they're a young team in the 2nd year of an actual re-start.

This place overreacts to every fucking thing. It's maddening.

The Luka trade was sketchy as fuck. They never opened it up for offers. Nobody had heard anything. He was dealt for a very mediocre haul and the Mavs have just taken it on the chin for months. Their fans are in open revolt and their ownership is being bashed by local politicians. And now suddenly they beat the odds and get the number one pick.

I don’t understand you guys. We accept that politicians are corrupt and dirty shit. We accept that corporations in big pharma and Tobacco and big agg do shady shit to make money. But the idea that the NBA would rig shit to boost viewership is completely outside the realm of possibility.

Rigged or not the lottery has not been helping the teams in need lately. In addition the west just got that much tougher next year that we are ready to “go for it“. Super frustrating as our rebuild is seems to be happening at the wrong time.
West was almost more loaded since if the 6ers didn't get in the top4 that pick would've gone to the Thunder.
