Here I thought Mason Plumlee was going to hurt the Blazers and it’s really Luke Kornet that is burning them on the second unit.

Clingan needs to watch some Luke Kornet video from game 1.

A lot of those quick three’s were wide open looks that didn’t fall.
With a team like SA you don’t pass those up. They set their defense with Wemby in the middle and the offense stagnates pounding the rock looking for a clean shot.
Blazers ran and took 10 more shots than the Spurs. That is the way to beat them.

Many were open, but still rushed. Hopefully they calm down a little for game two.

I had felt that some of our players didn't play with much intensity or energy or fire, but then when you think of how from the jump, the Spurs get preferential treatment from the refs, I can see how that can be demoralizing. They just need to let that crap burn their blood and get mad and attack!!! I hated how Wemby was allowed to slam down on Deni's back right out of the gate and no call for it. I just hope we can be killers in the game.

no....he doesn't. Splitter needs to watch it

Kornet spent all of his time in the paint, on both ends of the floor. He wasn't parked at the 3 point line on offense, and he didn't chase perimeter shooters on defense. True drop coverage without hedging

Part of the reason for that is because he can’t hit a three to save his life. I ain’t joking about it either.

I like our chances. Shoot an equal percentage and we win that game. Also not likely VW goes 5 for 6 again for trey.

Love how Scoot is stepping up.
You must not have watched a lot of Spurs games this year my guy. I plan on Wemby having a just as effective game. They didn’t win because he went 5/6 from 3….. he will simply block 4 more shots, and go 3 for 7.

proving that a 7' C doesn't need a three to be effective. In fact, it's kind of fools gold for a C like Clingan. Rudy Gobert is a 4-time DPOY who is always top-5 in rebounding, and in 13 seasons and 990 games has not made a single 3PFG. And he's headed to the HOF

I think we gave them our best shot. Was so happy for the guys in the middle of the 3rd. These are the games where the favored more talented team runs the other team out the gym. I DO think we get game 4 though.

I think we'll have to take game 3 if we want to get one. I think it would be very easy for our guys to get discouraged if they're down 0-3 and end up swept.

I think there were a lot of jitters too.

I'm not sure why the Blazers would have jitters and the Spurs did not

at tip-off, there were only 2 of 10 starters that had playoff experience: Jrue (98 games) and Fox (8 games)

Maybe they are not the least bit worried about losing to the Blazers, while the Blazers are expected to be swept.

How did Fox have 8 games of playoff games at tip off? He’s played 1 seven game series.
