I don’t think he plays. One more hit could knock him out for the entire playoffs. In the first round vs a 7 seed I think he sits Friday.

Would not mind a few Krejci minutes over Grant moving forward

So there is no way Grant doesn't play well after two bad ones? Replacing him with a player who has never played in a playoff game (and who has been cold) would not be my first choice.

Certainly seems plausible and very possible. The protocol is pretty clear. He needs to be evaluated with no symptoms for 48 hours. I tend to agree they will sit him Friday at least but if they lose Friday I highly doubt they take a chance at going down 3-1.

Will Tight Wad even be in Portland for game 3? His Canes play in Ottawa at noon on Saturday in what could be a closeout game.

Wemby flopping and knocking himself out could end up being the biggest story of the playoffs.

I don't wish harm on anyone, but I hate the fakers and the floppers. If only this thing would happen more often, especially with guys like SGA (Super Good at Acting). Slap themselves down hard. It's only fitting that they would eventually eat it, fouling themselves out of a game with all that throwing themselves on the floor.

I feel the Blazers had this game anyway. I think it was actually even harder without Wemby as they were starting to literally get under him and figure out how to deal with him.

From Blazer's Edge discussion and it's so frickin' true:

Several media write ups mention his injury “after being fouled by Jrue Holiday”. This narrative is a little misleading and Holidays name should not be implicated in any way as part of the injury.

Wemby intentionally uses his shoulder in a fast aggressive downward shove to knock players back. He does it a lot. He did it to Jrue a couple plays earlier and was called for an offensive foul.

In this play- he went for it again. And Jedi Jrue stepped aside like a matador- the old pull the chair Jedi trick. There was no foul I could see. He literally stepped aside. And Wemby threw himself full force into a diving spin. Right onto the floor face first.

Awful. So bad. And also 100% his own doing. I hope it is made abundantly clear that Holiday is not even remotely at fault.

Completely agree. It’s not like the Blazers didn’t keep the game within chance in Game One. Injuries are part of the game, though. But there’s usually more to it than a player essentially causing his own injury.

Spurs fans crying about the game is hilarious. There were some bad calls both ways. But there were bad calls and bad non-calls. So the losing team is going to cry like they got jobbed. The reality is, from what I watched, it was pretty even both ways.

There are few highs better in life than the Blazers winning a road playoff game!

First playoff win ever in San Antonio for the Blazers. They had played 4 series in the past.

Not bad for what would have been the 8th seed before the play-in existed.

Getting a bit ahead of ourselves, but he could be in the discussion. I mean if he does this the whole series and we advance and he keeps it up maybe.
Oh yeah total dreaming, but he also was really good in Game 1. I'm impressed by his play the last month or so! To me it's important that his best games are coming when the games count most.

Now @AldoTrapani , this is why I prefer playoff experience > lottery pick. I get your reasoning, but at some point, that lottery pick will need playoff experience too. I don't give AF what the circumstances were in this game, they found a way to claw back and win a gutsy one.

Very fair 🫡
