Sir/ma'am, you DO understand that Ant will be this teams FIRST option and their leading scorer this season. For you to think any of those players above will get more shot attempts than Ant are truly mistaken.
and again our worst defender? Let's see if he can improve his defense from awful to not so awful, not concerned about his offense

Knox was my favorite interview and I liked them all

love Sharpe but really hope he gets some Alpha in him. He’s pretty laid back.

I'm puzzled about keeping Brogdon. It kind of caught me off guard (and I hate puns for the most part, so no).

Honestly unless Scoot and Shae are blowing the doors off of everyone in training camp I wouldn't mind seeing a starting lineup of Brogdon, Ant, Matisse, Jerami and Ayton. I think that lineup will look really good together, everyone will excel in their roles. Then in the middle of January I'd trade every starter besides Deandre. Get picks, young players, expiring contracts and let all of the young guys ball out for the rest of the season.

I think it's simple (not sure of course). Cronin couldn't get what he wanted in his last Dame-trade piece.

No way any of us can be sure, but these are my thoughts as well. I'm guessing they will hold onto him and play him for time being, until the right trade comes along. Until then, they will give good PR answers, but I imagine they have talked with Malcolm behind the scenes about it. Probably something like "play hard and have a good attitude and we promise to try to get you to a good situation by the deadline".

With guys like Matisse and Ayton out there with him, they’ll take his 20+ a night ppg and not worry to much about his d.

Yes, I don't think we're going to openly tank... but then again, there's different kinds of tanking.

There's active tanking, which is what we were doing at the end of last season.

But it could be considered passive tanking when you play your young guys over your veterans. If we wanted to win, we'd play Brogdon/Simons/Thybulle/Grant/Ayton and we'd prioritize giving minutes to those veterans. But we want to develop our young guys and we are prioritizing that development. Putting development first, over winning, is a form of passive tanking.
I absolutely believe those 5 plus Scoot, Sharpe, and Williams will get the majority of the minutes. That's 8 guys. Murray and Walker round out the basic 10-man.

Maybe that lineup doesn't have quite the necessary combination of talent/experience to be a playoff team, but I don't see why there should be any "passive tanking" with our roster. I mean, which young player is going to get developmental minutes at the expense of one of the veterans? We have (as far as I'm aware) 5 clear third-stringers in Rupert, Camara, Knox, Brown and Reath (not counting the 2-way guys). There's absolutely no reason not to play all our vets solid minutes.

You might be satisfied with that but I am not, he's got to get better at D, he's a matador out there on D, he does not have to be good, just get your D to decent and that works

Not a fan of Tisse/Jerami at the forwards regardless of who plays the guards.

Rebounding is important

Lol Shaedon is so awful in interviews. Sounds like he barely cares about anything, just so laid back. That's fine though, I'm sure media day sucks.
I think that’s why he dropped in the draft as well. It was reported that he was awful during interviews.

Knox will be a nice surprise this year, Im thinking.
He mentioned playing fast like when at Kentucky, and you could tell his confidence is much better.

That’s what I’ve been trying to tell folks on here.

He tried to dunk over Rudy Gobert.
I'd rather he be alpha on the court than in the press room.

Isn't Kawhi Leonard pretty quiet?

wasn’t dogging him chieftain.

just an observation. Hope I’m wrong

Shea's Canadian, eh.

Does Brogdon have the same 60-day restriction on trading with other players that Jrue did?

Check out the first play. Brogdon low alley-oop to Rob Williams.

Brogdon and Skylar Mays have a similar style and body size. Methodically getting where they want to go.

I think Robert Williams must be happy that Brogdon came with him to Portland.
