Not sure if it's just me but tea leaves sounds like they're trying to pump the brakes on Shaedon hype.

This is from:

- Vibe from Joe/Chauncey/Other plays about how many times Shaedon is being mentioned.
- Vibe from folks who talk to the FO, ie. Marang/Highkin etc. A lot less talk about Shaedon.

May be just them cooling the brakes on the Shaedon train based on SL and what they're seeing so far in camp. Shaedon has a ton of time to get better so there's no pressure there, but definitely the focus has been put on: Ant, Ayton and Scoot.

Sir/ma'am, you DO understand that Ant will be this teams FIRST option and their leading scorer this season. For you to think any of those players above will get more shot attempts than Ant are truly mistaken.

Yeah, he'll probably start ahead of Shadeon.

Man you could tell Cronin was hurt inside about how he and Dame handled the past three months between the two.

Mehh they’ll be fine. At the end of the day Joe can always say “I traded you to play with arguably the best player in the NBA”

There’s no way Dame can spin that as they did him dirty. Ppl will look at him like he’s crazy to be mad he got to play with Gannis

I noticed that too. But then again I get it. He was really disappointing during summer league. Plus I really don’t get the vibe that Shaedon Sharpe wants to dominate and has that Kobe mentality. He seems like one of those guys that just wants to do his job and go home..

I get that but also Dame thanked literally everyone in the organization including janitors but never mentioned Cronin. Hell he even thanked Neil Olshey. There's definitely some animosity it wasn't a mistake that Cronin was left out of his thank you post.

I think Shae can get lazy/disengaged at times and doesn't play hard all the time, hopefully with competition and earning minutes that changes, he has all the talent in the world.

The fact that he thanked Neil tells me that he doesn’t get it.

Why would he thank Neil Olshey? That's sad.

"Thank you Neil Olshey for letting Aldridge leave for nothing and never getting me another All Star to play with." (my words of course, not his.)

Just now listening to these pressers…… I think I saw on here some people post about Matisse and feeling like he didn’t want to be here by the way he was answering questions….no way FAMS! Thats him, that’s his demeanor.
This dude is different and he might be my favorite Blazer right now. The guy is just eloquent in how he handles life. Polite, well spoken……great fucking dude and I will forever be a fan!
I think I posted on here how we met once we acquired him. Towards the end of the season in NOLA. I was walking along the river catching the sunset and look up and he is literally sitting under a tree reading a book of poetry. Chatted for a bit…..he is good people and I hope he is a Blazer for a long time.

Let me guess....He's your favorite because Tisse is the only player who'll talk to you... And you had to stalk the dude to make an intro!!

The fact that he thanked Neil tells me that he doesn’t get it.

considering that twice, Dame went over Olshey's head to ask Paul Allen what the hell was going on....

I think Dame mentioned Olshey as a final dig at Cronin. Dissing by omission

Will Dame still be resentful during the parade in MIL? Does he really think MIA is better than MIL with him on board?

He does. He’s very talented but he doesn’t have that killer in him like Kobe or even Dame has

Maybe it just kills it for him that MIL just won a title a couple years ago with that core. Where in Miami that core is fighting hard to win it since they been to the finals twice in the last 3 years without winning it. I think he wanted that credit where he pushed them over the top. Where in MIL it’ll just be another title in the last couple years..

Yeah, he'll probably start ahead of Shadeon.

Agreed. In my opinion Milwaukee core has better chance than that of Miami's. Lifestyle, maybe Miami. Winning, Milwaukee.

Maybe Dame feels insecure about his height and appreciated Olshey for never trading for anyone taller than him?

That was the other big (or small) bugaboo of Olshey. Allergic to finding a backcourt mate for Lillard of standard shooting guard size.

Joe pretty much telling us to get ready to lose a lot.

"Looking for daily improvement. We're young. We have a lot to work on. Finding consistency. It's gonna take some time for our players to come into their own."
Love it. Schmitz, do your thing.

I don't see why , if Brogdon is going to play, that the team will be a losing team.
You've got Brogdon, Simons, Grant, Ayton, and Timelord who are good veterans.
Then Scoot and Shaedon who are young but super athletic and very good at attacking the hoop.
That seems to be a decent 7 players who should be good if they play hard and play together.

I think Ayton is the key for early in the season and maybe more.

Two seasons ago and the season before that, Ayton's True Shooting percentage was actually slightly higher than Dame's career high last season.
I would feed him every possession possible, which shouldn't be too difficult with his mobility and fantastic hands and finishing ability.
Why not go for a goal of something around 30 points a game? Ayton might become an All Star.
You can go far in the NBA with superstars who score a lot and score efficiently.

Kris shit the bed in summer league, but some have him ahead of Walker. I don't get it.

Seems like they're gonna let Scoot and Simons battle it out during training camp to see who The Guy is going to be.

Said Ant really struggled to play with Dame.
The game tape of Ant in games with and without Dame showed that was evident.

He wanted to be in Dallas if I recalled correctly, but we matched.
Thybulle could easily play into being traded there if he wants to. As long as he makes his 3s, Dallas is going to want him. “How much do you want Doncic to stay, Dallas?”

Jerami revealed that he has been asked by the team about playing the 3.

Hmm. That suggests they're possibly considering going super big with him/Williams/Ayton.
I doubt that’s the goal to start all 3. It probably does mean there could be a 6 minute stretch of those 3 on the court against specific teams. Any non shooting team is going to have a long night if Ayton, Williams, and Grant are on the floor.

That front court with Ant and Sharpe could be VERY scary. Ant is going to going to develop the Dame, Curry, Trae reputation very quickly. Shae will continue to be a threat to shoot, and Grant is a consistent 40% shooter. If DA is hitting his jumpers and Williams continues to develop his playmaking skills, how is anyone stopping this lineup?

Not sure how a team that can’t shoot can score against that lineup.
