Excuse me Rick, speaking about the CURRENT Yankee opponent is totally relevant to this game thread, and you obviously didn't consider or rexognize the first part of my post (#51) which you are replying to:

"Just off the top of my head with only one look at the play, my first view of Gardy getting thrown out CS might've been worthy of a second look (review) ....looked as if his hands were on the base when the tag was applied on his chest area".

Honestly, no offense intended, but what gives with you guys?

Jeez.

Of course I noticed the first part of your post. I wasn't replying to that. I highlighted the part I humorously responded to. The praise you heaped upon the Rays could have been printed by a Rays fan. Lighten up will you.

Okay- McCann is a better "catcher" than those two.
Feel better now?

...that's not at what I said, is it?

...you wrongly used Munson and Sunberg as examples in an attempt make McCann appear to be responsible for those PBs last night. You obviously thought those 2 catchers were better at allowing PBs...well, they weren't.

...you fucked up, it's not the end of the world...at least not for me anyway.

...ya know, I'd think that after all this time a little voice would speak up inside of that noggin of yours and tell you, "Hey, maybe it's me".

You poor bastard, remember, you can stick a rose in someone's asshole:mooning: but that doesn't make it a vase.:lol:

...sure it does...wanna see?

...I have super powers and the ability to "influence" people..

...would you like to take a poll ?

...but hey, at least you were smart enough to let the McCann/Munson/Sunberg thing go and not respond.

And you have perfected the art of conveniently "letting go" of parts of replies which don't jibe with your prepared script.

In any case, Munson and Sunberg were better "catchers" than McCann. - imo
But I do like McCann and he is a pretty good catcher.

...I stand corrected...your grey matter is less concentrated than I thought.

...who cares which catchers were better?...the discussion was NEVER about who were the better catchers and you know it. Stay on topic for and stop trying to change the subject.
...You didn't blame the loss on him but you flat out tried to paint McCann in a less than flattering light by saying, and I quote, "...he's not exactly Thurman Munson or Jim Sunberg back there."
...You were referring to the wild pitches and implied that McCann was not as good at preventing them as Munson and Sunberg...when in reality, he's actually better.

...can you dispute this or not?...either let it go, or provide something tangible, or please, pretty please, restrict your masticatorii.

For the record, career Fielding %

Sundberg = .993%
McCann = .992%
Munson = .978%

...thanx rick, but this was strictly about passed balls and passed balls only..

...I stand corrected...you're even dumber than I thought.

How about we use the forum for it's intentional purposes and not try to make things more personal or heated than they need to be...
These wars constantly erupt, and then I get asked why the thread ends up locked. This is why...

Thanks Rick, but don't let career success rate at throwing out ATT/SB interfere.
You've already earned your pat on the back.

The point still remains that last night's loss was more on Betances & less on McCann.

...what the hell does SB % have to do with PBs?...the convo was strictly about your implication that Munson and Sunberg were better than McCann at preventing Passed Balls...you're doing a horrible job of tap dancing. Just admit that you mis-spoke and let it go.

Never said McCann was the reason they lost the game.
...and nobody said you did...but when it was mentioned that BBs and WPs came back to haunt them and ultimately cost them the game you said McCann is "...not exactly Thurman Munson or Jim Sunberg back there." And like I pointed out, McCann is actually better than both of them at preventing PBs.

...again, just man up and admit you mis-spoke.

He said he was done & when he says he's done he means it.
