Beane deviated from his own philosophy, and I bet it bites him in the ass....
what do they say in Vegas? Never bet the house, or put all your chips on one hand of cards?
I'd say Beane has done just that, put his entire chips on one horse of a Team, by throwing his own theory out the window. I do hope he loses his ass, as the Halos have been in process of doing just that, (handing Billy his ass back)....
Hopefully the A's will fire him, (I honestly never see that happening), then perhaps, the Yanx can pull him off of Skid Row for GM's, and re-rehabilitate him, re-program him, brief him on the Yankee Way, the same way, all Great Yankee GM's worked to, prior to King George's demise, and replace Cash-hole...
He'd be a vast improvement over Cash-hole, yet, he'd have to keep his harness on, to reel him in on occassion, when he gets a wild hair up his ass.....
He never should of let go of his best offensive weapon, and defensive OF'er too, with the snipers arm.
Sure Cespedes B'Avg, and other stats, may not reveal as much. BUT, when you look at his splits with RISP, Yoenis became a beast with a bat, hitting RBI's always when it counted most. As I said, his B'Avg., was less than stellar, yet he rarely left men on base.....just saying, IMO, Beane blew himself up with greedy ignorance...! Yeppers...!
