Thought this deserves its own thread.
One of the things we're lacking. Our bigs who are this kind of players are Kaman and Alexander and neither is getting much playing time. Do you agree this is a need?

Who is GSW's go-to low post scorer?
Who was MIA's?
Who was MJ-era Bulls?

The only champions I can think of with go-to low post scorers were the Shaq championships, early Duncan-era, and then you have to go back to Hakeem and Kareem. So unless you're getting a once-in-an-NBA-lifetime low post scorer, then no I don't think we NEED one. What we need is a better coach who can create easier scoring oppotunities, a really good wing, and a roster tweak or two.

Monroe is possibly available for fairly cheap, however I would wonder if we want him?

Michael Jordan was their go to low post scorer.

Learn the game then post. :bgrin:

Stats are good in adding to an argument, but personally I'm not a rpm fan. And just by watching the guys play, I think it's evident monroe would easily be our most talented and well rounded big man
It's easy to see that his offensive game is far superior to those of either Davis or Plumlee. But is the difference between them defensively (also easy to see with ones eyes) being disregarded, especially when considering their respective salaries?

Perhaps he might be the best overall, but by how much is easily debatable.

What does that say about Monroe? He's on his second team in two years and they don't want him.
I hear that loud and clear and commented on it in my last post - is it situational and two consecutive bad fits - two teams (Mil and Detroit) with no shooters? or is he the second coming of Rudy Gay?

Milwaukee is a mess. They have a ton of young talent all at the same positions. Giannis, Parker, Henson, Monroe, etc. I would love to pry Jabari Parker away from them.

Go-To inside players aren't as valuable as they used to be. Players holding more value are ones who can dribble-drive and create their own shot. We should be looking for a Draymond (spelling corrected : )) Green-type player to pair with Lillard/McCollum. Attitude transplant for Harkless? He could become it.

Most teams are just running journey-men type bigs in "Post" positions. Guys who rebound and put back. Play a little D.
Keep our guards together. Right now we have Tim Hardaway and Mitch Richmond. Don't give it away.

Is Drayvon Green the brother of Draymond Green?

I want a C/F who can defend, rebound, throw an outlet, set a screen, catch the ball, and make a shot when the other team forgets to guard him. We don't need firepower from every position.

It is just something we're lacking. I don't say we need Shaq or Hakeem but even Thomas Robinson can make us muh better in this aspect

There's this guy on our roster who can do all of those things, but just hasn't been able to do them consistently...

There's also a guy on our roster who can do all those things consistently, and he's starting at center.

Why do you saybattitude replacement for Mo? Did I miss something last week? Was wondering why he only played one min last game.

He lacks intensity and focus. He hasn't done anything (last week) that I am aware of. I was only suggesting a brain surgery that would put more intensity into that skilled body!! A little more Jerome Kersey please!!!

Oh harsh I feel. I think he has been great this year. My favourite ofnthe season. You must have seen something I haven't.

We need a Buck Williams. A Brian Grant. A Kermit Washington. A time machine.
