Exactly. Which is why I posted this scenario. Not saying it’s going to happen, of course, but it’s fun to think about, and what else is going on?I LOVE this particular nothing. It would make me sooo happy if the Blazers did this exact trade and was able to end up with both of the Thompson twins. If we could get Ausan at 11 and trade Ant and #6 to whoever for some high flying big men it would be a lot of fun to see Amen, Shaedon, Ausar and some other guys that have "jump out of the gym" on their scouting report running all around the court.
What are you, 10 years old? Do your parents know what you’re doing right now? That Bingo Bango avatar looks like he just took a dump in his pants.
Nothing burger....if we did ever trade the guy it wouldn't be to a bottom feeding team in the east...the idea is that he gets shipped to a team that's a contender...Orlando is not that team...you can trade Ant and Nas back to their hometown for their first round pick ..Dame would laugh the idea of Orlando right out of the room...he's closer to a ring in Portland playing with 19 year olds
If Orlando were to trade for Dame, they would only do so if they could add him to primarily the same squad that went 29-24 after their terrible start. There would be no point to them to acquire Dame if they had to give up two starters to do so.See, I don't want to be argumentative or go down a rabbit hole, but if Dame Fucking Lillard is a super star as always proclaimed here, why can't he be traded to a team that has a couple of good pieces in Wagner and WCJ? Why can't he have a little sweat equity and help them over the top? Fuck sakes, super stars are supposed to lead their teams to titles, not be given them. Lebron leads every damn team he is on to the finals. Is it because he is 6'9? Do the refs just suck on his King James? What is it? Maybe Lillard can get free agents to Orlando. I know they pulled in TMac and Grant Hill in one off season. They could go after Grant too. I'm not saying I want him traded, I'm saying a super star should have higher expectations of their abilities than many on this site have. And with that said, why don't we just expect Dame to put on his super star pants when training camp opens and lead Portland to the title? Walton did it in his day with the youngest finals winner ever I believe. Walton, Hollins, Gross and Davis were all drafted by Portland. Even Twardzic was. We got Lucas in the dispersal draft. Walton was a star amongst men that title season, and then he pretty much made Lucas and Hollins into all stars along with him. He empowered Bobby Gross to have an incredible NBA Finals. Lillard is either a super star and a leader that can put a team on his back and make other players better, or he is just a player that makes all star teams and needs other stars for playoff success. And I really have no desire to discuss this, you all can if you want. I'm just throwing it out and glad it is.
Dame challenges Desantis to a rap battle. He vanquishes the wannabe fascist and assumes control of the governorship and turns Florida into a paradise.Blazers trade Lillard to Orlando.
During halftime of his first home game in Orlando, Lillard comes out dressed as a drag queen and starts reading stories to all the children in attendance.
Lillard is immediately arrested and banned from the state of Florida.
Orlando buys out Lillard's contract and he is released from the team.
Blazers sign Lillard for the vet minimum.
Win/Win/Win
That is the equivalent of his post. That Bingo Bango avatar looks like he just took a dump in his pants.
My parent has passed away Bongo head. What are you, 10 years old? Do your parents know what you’re doing right now?
And according to some of your post, you should be asking the same .What are you, 10 years old? Do your parents know what you’re doing right now?
Wow. You’re one classy guy, aren’t you? That is the equivalent of his post.
I would add to that, which is excellent, Portland doesn’t owe Lillard anything. They’ve made him one of the richest players in the NBA and treated him like a favorite son. If Orlando offered the best deal, they would be stupid not to take it. What are they supposed to do—send him wherever he wants to go, even if it’s a crappy deal for them?See, I don't want to be argumentative or go down a rabbit hole, but if Dame Fucking Lillard is a super star as always proclaimed here, why can't he be traded to a team that has a couple of good pieces in Wagner and WCJ? Ye ol' Jonathan Isaac. That dude may never be healthy. If Orlando were to trade for Dame, they would only do so if they could add him to primarily the same squad that went 29-24 after their terrible start. There would be no point to them to acquire Dame if they had to give up two starters to do so.
It would make sense, however, for Orlando to offer players like Fultz and Isaac along with their two lottery picks for Dame. Portland would likely need more than that, but it's one of the more reasonable proposals I've seen, and I believe that it would make Orlando an HCA-level team.
Sorry, I misread your post.To further explain, I didn't imply Portland would get Wagner and WCJ. Dame would be added to them. I was going with the trade discussed in the link. We would get the 6, 11 and salaries to make it work. Pretty sure Portland has no need for Fulz, Suggs or Isaac. If any of them had value, make it a 3 team trade.
Have you thought that maybe Portland doesn't want to trade him , Period! The dude is an All NBA talent at the height of his ability. Add some extra talent and who knows what the outcome will be. I know this, Dame is a generational talent. None of us know if any of these incoming players , outside of Wemby , will even be a star. It's all speculation. Orlando, and you Dame haters can want him gone all you want.

Why do you say that?ORL has no interest in Dame.
why would they? Their best player is like 20 y/o. Match him with a supermax 32 y/o???Why do you say that?
Their best players are in the frontcourt, and what they're missing most are outside shooting and leadership. Dame could (theoretically) elevate that team similarly to how Paul did Phoenix. If they think they could be ready to make a jump into contention now, no better acquisition to achieve that than Dame.why would they? Their best player is like 20 y/o. Match him with a supermax 32 y/o???
IncorrectThat qualifies as a rumor, which is something people are talking about that could be true or untrue.
CorrectNo. A rumor is, “there are reports of the blazers and magic talking about a trade centered around Lillard.”
This is someone playing around with a trade machine.
This is the kind of thing that weakens everything you say, because it’s so obviously untrue. No one on this board hates Lillard. I certainly don’t. I love the guy and I’m grateful for everything he’s done for Portland. But I’m also a realist, and I don’t see any trade out there that can make Portland a title-contender next season. You Dame haters can want him gone all you want.
It can be easily argued that those who call Dame a no-defense selfish player are "haters". Some would even say that those who say Dame can't be the best player on a championship team are "haters".This is the kind of thing that weakens everything you say, because it’s so obviously untrue. Being a "hater" doesn't actually mean you hate him.
