A Little Love for Caleb Love

I didn't realize that Love weighed in at 212 lbs (6'9" wing span). Personally, I think he has better PG skills than Eric Gordon (who they compare him to in size)

"Assuming Love averages out somewhere between the two poles of this season’s performance, he’ll still be a useful rotation player. He is a dead ringer basketball-wise for Eric Gordon: They’re almost identical in their burly builds, right down to the massive wingspan relative to their 6-foot-3 frames. Gordon was far more explosive at his athletic peak, but Love has the more natural comportment as a shooter, both off movement and off the dribble. The bulk of Gordon’s 19-year career has been built on his reliability as a high-volume shooter who can serve as a secondary or tertiary creator in a pinch while holding his ground on defense. Love has already shattered expectations for his NBA career; even if this blistering run peters out, he has a perfect blueprint for longevity."

What's his roster status right now? I noticed he's not even listed on the roster and not even a "DNP" designation in the box score from last night's game.

and look at how the search function works great and didnt need to start a new thread to ask this question!

I assume we're just going to leave him out of the lineup for a lot of games unless one of Jrue/Scoot/Blake sit out. That way we don't have to cut anybody and can wait to give him a bigger contract in the summer.

How many games does Love have left? What is the limits for the playoffs. Does the 50 game limits count in the playoffs?

If you could only keep one on the roster next season, who would you keep?
Love (24.3 yo) or Cissoko (21.8 yo)?

I'd probably choose Cissoko simply because of his versatility and upside. Tough call for me though.
The Blazers are flush with guards for next season. So to me the question is Love or Wesley. Unless they trade a guard I don't know why they'd keep both.

He now has 4 games left out of the 50 allowed for a 2-way player. The Blazers would have to sign him to a regular contract for him to be for the playoffs. That would mean waiving a player.

I really like his game and drive but I don’t know if he’s gonna make it. The next couple of games will be his last chance to play enough to convince the team to keep him. I just don’t know if it’s enough, even if he is Baby Dame.
