It's funny in ways too. Maybe they don't give you guys enough credit? I remember that a lot of their Blazers board knew each other in 'real life', through O-Live, and I'd guess email or instant messenger. Do they really think it would be hard for others to find out what happened to ABM or maxiep? Seems almost pretty silly to me.

Anyway as noted, glad to have you guys aboard. I enjoyed my time with a great bunch of you guys.

I agree with you, they wouldn't edit PMs. As a former admin, you do what they would do though. If they have a problem with spamming from a site, they put it in the list of banned words, which then shows up as *********, I just previewed a post with sportstwo, and that is indeed what happened.
 
This smells like when realgm.com filtered out "basketballboards.net".... and "we"(bbb.net) didn't do the same.... Now they essentially pulled a realgm.

I posted at BBB.net, then left for JBB, then came back to bbb.net....then left....then came back and it was bbf.net.... then came here.

I'm a Bulls fan.... but I posted a lot in the Blazer forums during the early days... (pretty much up until the Carmelo draft and a little after it)
 
I really liked it over there until.....................I started a thread asking who the top 10 white players in the NBA are. That's it!!! They said I was being racist for bringing up such a topic! Banned me for that! Crazy!

Romans called the Iberian peninsula "Hispania"... so I believe Sergio IS Hispanic.

Although he's not Latin.

Although Hispanic comes from the Latin for the Iberian peninsula.

ok man you got me.

right after i posted that i started wondering if i was way off and completely fucking stupid and ignorant about the subject, but i always thought the term was used to describe spainish speaking people from south america. are portuguese people hispanic too? or germans that speak spainish? or those goddamn french bastards?

i really dont know, feel free to enlighten me.

it just seems odd to lump in argentinians with spainish players.

Why do they speak spanish in south and central america?

The "span" in "hispanic" is spain.

Well, HCP posted a lot worse stuff that that about race. I loved the cracker thread. IIRC, I was almost in tears between HCP and Barfo. People walk by my office and wonder what the **** I'm laughing about.

lotta familiar names here already who seem to be well invested into the site. so whats the deal, is this the new homebase or what? im kinda over BBF - place has been on a massive downward spiral since verticalscope took over so im happy to ditch that hole n hang here if thats where the regulars are going to be at. :)

i was thinking of even firing up theblazingtrail.com again but i just checked now and i have about 40,000+ spam posts about porn *sigh* one day maybe :)

what is this anyways... our 4th migration? last one lasted about 6yrs so hopefully we'll stick it out here for a while too.

Welcome aboard! Modding seems to be at a minimum here and profanity is allowed (my guess it will be as long as we don't abuse it, so watch what you fucking type).

Let everyone else know over at BBF.com what's going on over here. If you PM the address, it will be blocked out, but tell them to respond to you and the address will show up.

yeah i was wondering why bbf was sucking so hard recently (or not so recently if you have any form of individual opinion and class....) and it seems everyone has escaped to greener pastures :)
