There are certain posters here who are jealous of Quick/Canzano/etc. no matter what they report. I notice that they never put their names behind their critiques.

Bottom line? The reporters are being paid to put their names behind their reporting. The anonymous criticizers are ankle-biters in comparison.

Until you get the long guaranteed contract - it is NOT guaranteed that big money gets paid.

Well, I think MASBEE is a lightweight, as are the rest of us here who anonymously express our opinions. If you don't agree, I don't care. The difference is that we all know who Jason Quick is, and many of us make more money than he does. Not exactly an ideal situation for him, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

It's not that Quick is apposed to spending $ on a good PG, it's just Hinrich isn't the player he'd spend it on. He's a minimal upgrade and isn't worth the contract.

I'm not going to get into an internet battle of semantics, but I'm not the one taking things out of context.

I can only judge what he said, not something he meant to or might have meant to say that you are saying for him.

I don't care if you criticize him or not. I do think it's silly though to get worked up over a quote that may sound weird/be a little off, but it still has the right idea - Hinrich makes much more than Blake and is only a slight upgrade. Main point, he's not worth it.

Canzano? I actually find the suggestion insulting. The guy is a gossip columnist...he just happens to write (sometimes) about the Blazers. He would be just as at home writing about Paris Hilton's latest STD. Personally, I could be no more jealous of him, then of a pimp or a 2-bit crack dealer.

The logic behind Quick's valuation of Hinrich is off... but I dunno what else he's supposed to say. He's asked for his opinions and he's giving them. He might be an asshat, but is this news?

If he had a scoop, that'd be something, but scoops related to the Blazers are pretty few and far between for anyone. Chad Ford nailed the Koponen drafting, sort of... that's about the only one I can remember.
