It's crazy to me the first thing people do is go crazy over guns when shit like this happens. Yeah we need stricter gun laws in this country but as shown in places I have posted here about including a strict gun law place like Chicago, it doesn't matter. People will get a hold of these types of weapons. We should ban these cars man, a lot of people dying every year over them, yeah logic.

A lot of people have guns in this country. More than people know. Legally and don't kill others. The issue in this country is and always will be mental health. People should try to tackle that first. Of course though like every day the past fucking year we are dealing with people bringing politics into it. "Omg trumps America", the other side talking about it being a Muslim attack before the identity of the shooter was released. Everybody is lost and so divided by these stupid fucking politics. 58 plus we're just gunned down, that's 58 families that gotta deal with it so suddenly and that shit isn't fun. It's hell. Yet everybody wants to get their two cents in and bring politics into it.

I am a huge country music fan and in no way am a full fledged republican.

My wife listens to some country music and she hates guns and leans more liberal.

If he started shooting at the Life is Beautiful event a few weeks ago it would have been similar numbers. Thousands of people packed into a few city blocks surrounded by barricades. Maybe more trampled especially if they knew which way the guy was shooting from.

And Vegas security is always doing their job. My wife couldn't go in a casino on Halloween because she had face paint on. They're everywhere.

I'll bet the entire hotel industry will be changing their security operations. Soon large chain operations will have metal detectors in their lobbies. Indeed, we live in strange times.
 
Sly, if player's fathers are losing business b/c their son kneeled at a ballgame, and guys in khakis showing up at a statue ceremony get fired, I think it's germane that the senior legal counsel at CBS is cool with country music people being massacred because of some sort of schadenfreude.

Just happened onto a Neighbor from hell video on YouTube yesterday and watched 30 minutes of other different ones. Yeah, there's a bunch of crazy people in this country.

Even if mental health care becomes comprehensive, will guys like this shooter use it, or are there just some fucked up dudes who are going to mass shoot innocent people no matter what?

There are some people that have mental health issues and they just snap one day. I had to deal with a tragedy close to me two years ago and it had everything to do with mental health and a sudden snap, we thought this particular person was fine. Turns out it was psychosis, then shot somebody. Not gonna go into details but this person was close, both. The shooter and the victim. I see mental health issues every time in shitty areas, homeless people talking to themselves, etc. people out here killing one another for no reason and that's the point I tried to nail home with the Chicago shit but everybody wants to talk politics all the time. None of that shit matters. What matters is shit that happened last night and finding a solution, not these agendas of gun control and shit.

I don't know, but I think more money needs to be put into this research, maybe educate people more on it and in school to identify signs of different mental health issues in others or something but there isn't no 100 percent fix for it, we are gonna have these events happen every now and then. You can't control everybody.

ISIS has claimed responsibility. On the scene FBI stated that too this point they have not made a connection, but they are just beginning the investigation.

Makes me wonder if he did this on purpose. Get all the attention on what he said or did not say, rather than have all of the focus on all of the "Take away all the guns" rhetoric.
