If you don't believe this one occurred then you definitely have issues. I could show you a pic of a dead body, but I do not want to post it. I have a close friend that lives in Vegas and I go there often. This incident happened. Believe it or not.
It happened. No doubt.

Sure we do.

1. You can't own a gun if you're a felon.

2. You can't buy a gun unless you're of age.

3. You can't buy a gun if you are convicted of domestic violence.

So that's three rules right there.

No, conservatives want to make NEW rules restricting voting. None restricting firearms.

I have a pet unicorn.

dviss... I respect you and appreciate your ability to share the years of basketball related knowledge and the insights it has provided. However, in this arena you could not be more wrong.

In one of my past lives, it was my distinct pleasure to be FFL licensed and bonded with multiple storefronts. There are more laws and protocols involved in firearm sales and ownership than many, if not the vast majority of everyday people including current firearm owners could ever imagine. I could not count on my hands and toes the many times I, or an employee, had to turn down sales to upstanding citizens we knew personally and in one case an active law enforcement officer due to issues that required remedy. We were never told what the issue was and protocol demanded we give the prospective buyer a phone number for contacting the BATF directly to start resolution of the issue if at all possible. Most were cleared up within days. Some were permanent blocks to firearm ownership the customer was not aware of due to ignorance of the law.

More laws are not the answer. Enforcement of existing firearm laws and to a much greater degree having a good personal moral compass... is.

Bump stocks should be illegal. Even a cop has no use for them.

One man shot over 550 people. No human should be able to wield that much power.

It you need a gun, you have fear in your life. Plain and simple. You are afraid.

The thing is, with a bump stock you're still pulling the trigger one time per round. It's not fully automatic. So they would have to redefine the law. But you can still pull the trigger really fast. Watch this video of a guy just pulling the trigger, no bumpstock, at the same rate as a guy with a bumpstock.

Let me clear up a few of the misconceptions about the weapons used in this attack. Specifically the use of "AR-15" , "Bump Stock" and "Assault Rifle" propagated by the talking heads on tv.

1. The AR in AR-15 does not mean "Automatic Rifle"... it is the designation of the company that developed said rifle... Armalite. The AR-15 and others of this platform are considered "self loading" firearms.
2. The "Bump Stock" or any after market trigger mechanism that is added to any firearm on this platform is counter to any reasonable thought for efficiency the person installing might have intended.
A. The cycle of said firearm is finite. The AR-15 will cycle between 130-175 rounds per minute (excluding magazine replacement time). A person with minimal field time will achieve 70-80% that rate with far greater accuracy. In fact, any former military member with SpecOps experience will tell you that "single pull-single round fire" is the most utilized mode of operation. The so called "Spray and Pray" operation is not used excepting only the extraordinary circumstance... or movies.
3. "Assault Rifle" is a misnomer given to us by Adolf Hitler. At the beginning of WW 2 the craftsmen producing weapons for the German Army designed a self loading (semiautomatic) weapon designated the MP40. The classification given, as translated to the English language, was sub-machine gun. Hitler didn't think that was fearsome enough and instructed the designers to call it an "Assault Rifle" as translated to our language.

In the tragedy we have seen in Las Vegas much is to be considered for public safety. Firearms are very low on the list. Consider the bus attack in France... 77 killed in seconds. Passenger planes taken down with hundreds on board. All this pales when you consider the multitude of force-ably unarmed people killed by their own governments as in:

Hitler's Socialist Nazi Germany - +/- 22 million
Stalin's Marxist Soviet Union - +/- 65 million
Mao Zedong's Marxist China - +/- 75 million

Everyone of these democides were committed by governments who insisted there populace would be much better served by surrendering arms... in other words "gun control"!!!

So... you tell me, what is the greatest potential threat to our people of the USA. Is it an evil person with a firearm, or a Liberal Progressive Government (aka; Socialist Marxist, Communist Marxist) whose largest focus is total government control and the disarming of our resident population.

They are now thinking that others may have been involved.

New evidence may suggest Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock was not alone in hotel room

Hooker? Second shooter? Or maybe he was a lone shooter...or he couldn't shoot, so he shot

Damn I'm good

Someone used a key to get into his room when he wasn't around and his car wasn't in the parking garage. How did he get all those guns in his room?
