The Chiefs have not been to the Super Bowl for 49 years. They went in 1970 and beat the Vikings. Before that they appeared in Super Bowl I where they lost to the Packers.

The Patriots have been in 4 of 7 of the last Super Bowls including the last 2. They won 2 of those. Since 2002 they have been 8 times, winning 5.

They lost to the Eagles last year

The Chiefs were last in an AFC Championship game in 1993 where they lost to the Bills, who went on to lose the Cowboys.

This AFC Championship will make 8 consecutive for the Patriots they have gone 4-3 in their last 7.

I don't really like either team here, but I do respect how freaking good NE has been for so long. I'm kind of cheering for the old men to meet in the super bowl, but both of today's game should be great ones and I'm looking forward to them.
