AHHHHHHHHHH SHIT!

I would be happy to come over and take a shit in your house for testing purposes!

Are you sure your sewer is broken? It may very well be clogged. You may simply need a stronger sewer cutter wheel.

If your house is from the 20s, you have sections of clay pipe connected with okum which has dissolved after years underground. The roots find the wet parts of the sewer at the joints and infiltrate the pipe. As long as your pipe hasn't collapsed, it should be able to be cleared with a cutter.

After your sewer is cleared, hire a drain inspection company to send a camera down and visualize your pipe.

If it can't be cleared, it may have collapsed. Unfortunately, it's a big money repair as the sewer has to be excavated from your house to the sewer main (which I assume is under the street).

Best of luck. I'll ask my handyman who he prefers to us.

Max, can you pay for it and I can get you Blazer tickets?

to add a little hope, my place was built in the 60s and the city is on the hook for the replacement from house to sewer

1. Find an area in your yard or in your neighbor's yard which is downhill from the flooded area.

2. Dig a 6-inch wide ditch from the higher flooded land to the lower land.

3. Dig it so it slopes down to the target.

4. If the target is in your neighbor's yard, dig it quietly in the dark.

2 years ago, I fixed a flooded floor at my ex-wife's house this way. The drain in her driveway was stopped up from days of rain. My son and I dug it by flashlight and car headlights. The neighbor came out once but got scared off.

I'm diasappointed you haven't hired me yet. You want to come see my work at her house? She's single, too. She finished the husband after me years ago, long since ready for the next one. Come see my cool ditch! The neighbor moved out a few months after I did it, so you'll hear no complaints.

Update? Is your basement a shit and piss swimming pool?

YES!

City was out this morning marking all the pipes and locating everything for the 2 companies giving me bids. Probably make a decision tomorrow on who is doing it. Both guys said they would frontload our job because of our situation. Wife and kids are staying with the in-laws and I am going to my nextdoor neighbors whenever I have to piss! Just picked up some extra work right as the NBA season ends. Was planning on taking a nice 5 or 6 day break after the last game in April......... gotta make some extra cash now FAMS!

CRAPPY!!!!

I think I'm making my first serious thread. The HCP needs a new sewer line. If ANY of you and I mean ANY, even the few of you who can't stand me, have any experience in this field or have had work done recently and can point me in the right direction, please speak up. House was built in the early '20s and it's the original pipes in the basement and sewer line. All I know is, this "SHIT" needs to get fixed ASAP and I don't know how to attack this.
I can't even begin to tell you how disappointed I am that not one word of this post is a euphemism...

I ACTUALLY FUCKING HATE ALL OF YOU INCLUDING DENNY! I NEED HELP!!!!!!! And yes the Aztecs did, but I'm also half Polish.

Dude, this manual labor and yardwork should be engrained in your brain.

Being half-Polish is no excuse.

You DO realize that the Polish are to Germany what the Mexicans are to America, right?

Last game in April? So you're saying we're not going to the playoffs?

Ah shit! The same thing happened in building where I work, every restroom shut down, we have to go to another building, the equivalent of walking a block every time you need to pee.

They start in about 15 minutes......... can't wait to poop in my own house again.

Pooping in your house is overrated. You need to get better magazines, and I've seen spider webs thicker than that cheap toilet paper you use...
