Saw an ESPN article that Joe G has an issue with A-hole and Beltran as to who the DH is. I've supported Girardi since game one 2008. Joe you are the manager, making decisions as to who does what. I'd sit A-hole because he is going to pretty much piss on the rest of the season. Remember back in '12 when you had the nads to have Ibanez bat for A-hole, yeah the man came through. Until Beltran drew the Sombrero he'd been coming through. I always thought that Joe Pepitone was the number one franchise scunbag until A-hole came along. Soon it will be summertime but the cotton ain't high in Yankee Land.

...Beltran has done OK with bat but Hicks is so much better defensively...sure would be nice to get both from a corner OFer position.

Yeah its a shame that A-Roid can't also come down with phantom injury like Teixeira. Apparently Joe is not familiar with that old adage, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".

Joe do you remember the '09 series when you said this is how we're gonna do it, the team did it winning the World Series. Afterward we witnessed an ungrateful Cashman fail to keep Deki on for an extra year or two. Take charge damn it and when games start send the chemist out for coffee.

I can understand the dislike for Arod but using him as an excuse or lightening rod for the team's troubles it misguided. What happened to the Yankees is they got away from putrid Oakland and started facing better pitching again. When the top of the order is pathetic and the highest average on the team is a limited power .275 the lack of offense is not surprising.

When a team's DH is a 40 yr old washed up juicer, and Beltran sits, nothing makes sense. I'd much rather see Carlos DH than the "Chemist"... any day..

True the Yankee offense top 6 was like 2 for forty two in the last two games with Toronto. Nor do I blame the teams failures on A-hole, but if another man is doing better sit him on the bench. In the case of A-hole, I view him as the Franchise Filth, replacing Joe Pepitone. The man cheated, lied, got caught, lied hell he's a pathological liar. How he can go about his business and wear that Yankee Uniform is beyond me. And Steinbrenner is right up there for taking him back. I wish they'd pay his salary and ship him out.

...ARod is by no means the only problem but if you think about it this franchise's precipitous fall from grace really started going downhill ever since ARod was fingered by Tony Bosch.
...yeah, it could be coincidental but I will never forgive ARod for what he did to the Yankees...I don't care how many HRs he hits. He has tainted the Yankee brand and he has no business on this roster.

To me the biggest offensive issues is that Ellsbury and Gardner do that twin 0-4 thing far too often. It kills the entire lineup because clearly the middle of your lineup is going to be pitched to differently if those guys are on base. That's not to say the middle of the lineup is wonderful but when you think about it how many times do you see the 1 & 2 in the lineup do absolutely nothing?

...yup, it all starts with Ells and Gardner...when they get on base the offense does well when they don't the offense typically takes a powder.
