Those are All-Star numbers to you?

Why aren't you calling out Batum?

Dalembert is a very above average defensive minded center that can be had with free cap space (6 mil). He would play 25 minutes per game and is easy to slide as a reserve when Leonard develops.

If we trade Aldridge for a center, we are not only trading Aldridge, but most likely getting rid of Leonard too. Keep that in mind. He won't want to be a back up forever.

Oh and you grab a sanders, how many minutes does Leonard have to develop?

Not to sound callous, but it doesn't matter what Leonard wants. He's under contract and plays for the team in whichever capacity we need.

Dalembert is the "great" defensive center you're going forward with? For how long? He's a stop gap at best. I was hoping for a longer term solution, Mags.

1) This isn't a thread about Batum, is it?

2) Batum isn't an All-Star and our anointed hero of the realm.

3) Batum is also playing with a bad wrist. Aldridge is healthy as far as I know.

Lmao remember a player named jermaine oneal? Eventually the player will want out or complain. Sanders would be getting 35 minutes a game. No development for the prospect. What can we trade for Leonard?

I don't get this, Mags. Why do you feel we need to trade him?

Batum is the 2nd highest paid player on the team making $11M. He's not getting the job done and deserves more shit than what Aldridge is currently getting for being an ALL-STAR THIS SEASON.

And stop with the Batum injury excuses. That excuse is beyond old now. Wesley doesn't use injuries as an excuse.

I know it was just verbal (and not binding) but didn't Olshey supposedly promise LMA that he wouldn't trade him this year or next year? I don't have the exact quote but something like that was leaked in the media.

With that said I am sure Olshey would trade his mother if it brought back and super-star.

I think he said that about this season.

Reports are that he told Eric Gordon the same thing before trading him for Chris Paul down in LA. He'll move anyone short of Lillard for the right price.

Sanders will get around 35 minutes a game. You think 10-15 minutes per is enough for Leonard's development?

Sanders would have to get his fouls under control to pull off 35 a game, and even then you can play them together. Sanders is PF sized, and Leonard's midrange shot would help with spacing.

I agree 100% he'd move anyone(including Lillard) for the right price. The problem with that and Aldridge is, it's a lot easier to move a young guy, when you see the right price as the best player at his position in the league(Gordon for Paul). It's another to try to determine or find the right price when it's moving a guy in his prime for a rebuilding-ish package.

He's a young rookie. Why not keep him? As you said, he could become the next Jermaine O'Neal if traded too early.

When you go all in with a star center; he will be redundant. Might as well trade him. His contract and potential will be worth a lot in trade value.

How was it Stotts' fault? I missed that.

I'm saying it's his fault for playing LaMarcus too much. I feel like all the starters can largely just go out there and do whatever they want and still get to play all game long without any fear of getting yanked for lack of effort or execution or whatever the player may be lacking. There's also the other side of the coin that they know that they're going to have to play forty minutes so they aren't playing that hard throughout the course of the game so they have some energy left at the end of the game.

This is the worst thread I've ever been a part of.

And I'm the first reply in the topic where KS banged an NBA player.

Great googily moogily!

Mags - Why is Leonard so important to keep anyway? Isn't Larry Sanders EXACTLY what we hope/want Meyers to be? He is only 24 years old. Also, if memory serves me correctly...Jermaine was like 10th string, not primary backup.

IF Leonard comes remotely close to developing how you say he will, great, that gives us an even larger asset to couple with the Center we've been looking for.

Yes I understand; but I want to let the forum understand that this will be the series of events. You trade for a centerpiece center; then you gotta get rid of Leonard. He would rot on the bench.

There are a lot of fans of Leonard that want Aldridge traded, FYI.

Great thread. I'm happy people are starting to realize that Aldridge is a tad overrated.

Not exactly. Leonard already has a better offensive game than Sanders does. Yes, we want Leonard to develop into a rim protector, but also with an offensive skillset that Sanders lacks.
