This is correct.
Perhaps on PnR's because they happen so fast, but to say that LMA is not honored outside is ridiculous.

No you didn't. You always fall back on "oh, jk" when your stupidity gets called. And perhaps I underestimated by a possession or two - but so what? There aren't any useful numbers to use. And I'm sure there are plenty of games where he sees 4 or fewer doubles. So maybe my range should be expanded from 0-8 times per game, 0-10 if we're really covering the full spectrum of possibilities. The point is, it's a myth perpetrated by you that Lillard's effectiveness is due to LMA being double-teams. THAT'S the point. But keep pushing those straw men out to deflect.
So again, what did I fall into? Oh yeah, arguing with you.
Do you watch the games? If you think that the defense stays with LMA rather than the ball on the P/P then you're not just dumb, you're blind and deaf too.
LMA doesn't command the double team any more. Teams have stopped doing that for the most part because LMA has stopped posting up. He posts up about 5 times a game now. He may get doubled once or maybe twice. It is not something that the Blazers are exploiting - so it doesn't matter if he CAN command double teams. The fact is, right now he DOESN'T.

They better start exploiting it pronto so we can make sure to get home court advantage for the playoffs. We are rebuilding! It abosuletly matters that our foundation big can command double teams, if you are looking past this year (A down one for LMA, despite record numbers).
Sorry mags, I only call out stupidity when there's genuine stupidity on display. I don't call names for the sake of name calling. You really just don't understand how to form a cohesive argument and instead resort to falling back on other topics to deflect away from your stupidity being put on center stage. The only thing you're exposing is your inability to use thought and logic to make a point. As evidenced by the fact that you have nothing to back up your myth that LMA's double-teams are what makes Lillard effective. Instead you deflect by making some asinine "argument" that if someone uses a pejorative they're losing the argument. And if that WAS a sound argument (which it's not), you just lost any credibility by using "butt hurt".Usually when someone uses words like "stupidity"; gives you a sense on just how the debate is going. I've exposed you countless times, on many threads. Don't get all butt hurt that you can't dent saying things like you did in olive.
No doubt LMA needs to work his a$$ off this summer. But to look at his current limitations as concrete is shortsighted IMO.LA usually wants it on the left block when he tries to post up. Teams are prepared for that. They also know he'll rotate towards the key or commit himself to a turnaround jumper rather than using his left hand for the easy hook off the backboard. It's all about predictability.

Why? The opposing teams look at his current limitations.
It's a team sport, so can we just agree that they both make each other better? I for one am excited for the potential of the duo. How bout you?
That's all they have to look at, we as supporters get to look towards the futre. LMA spent this off-season rehabbing instead of doing what makes players great and honing their skills. Look at Lebron James, people use to say he "wasn't" and seemingly couldn't become the mulit-faceted player he is today, and now he's unstoppable.
There is no reason that LMA can't become an unguardable player in the post.
Are you seriously waiting for LA to develop more post moves?
Are you seriously saying it's not possible? Go back and watch the 2010-2011 season, then 2011-2012 and tell me that it isnt.
He always talks about his scoring, never his rebounding or defense, which are the main jobs for a PF.
Okay, but that still has nothing to do with the point I was making (the mythical LMA double-team = Lillard effectiveness). Yes, it's a team sport. Yes, when your teammates require defensive attention, that makes it so you're facing less attention than you otherwise might. None of this supports the idea that LMA's ability to draw a double is making Lillard the player we're all watching become the best player on the team. LMA just isn't doubled often enough for that to be the case. That's the point I was making, which stemmed from Mags saying something along the lines of Sanders not drawing doubles, so Lillard, or our offense, will suck if we trade LMA for Sanders (very dirty paraphrasing...don't feel like going back to re-read the post). If you disagree please tell me why. It's a team sport, so can we just agree that they both make each other better? I for one am excited for the potential of the duo. How bout you?
He also talked about bangin' in the paint against Chuck Hayes. That cracked me up!
Didn't you post a quote from that interview yesterday or a day before?
I am not excited about the potential of the duo because I've not seen nearly enough from LMA to think that he's going to take a giant leap forward. His progress has plateaued. At this stage in his career I don't think we'll see anything but minor improvement. He's never really shown the ability to make the team better than the sum of its parts. And I've always felt that you should never build around a PF unless you think you've got the next Tim Duncan. I believe that LMA is more valuable to our team as a trade asset. I would LOVE to be wrong about this, but I just don't see anything that puts any real doubt in my mind.
Jumpin' Jesus on a pogo stick! Do any of you really think this conversation will bear any meaningful fruit? It might as well be a debate amongst teenaged campaign volunteers before a primary election...
So there was this excuse on batum and his shooting wrist. Find out Aldridge has had a nagging ankle injury since a week after te all-star break. And low and behold; that's when his performance took a dip. But hey it's Aldridge and we need to ask for more and give batum a break! Holy jebus!!!
Bet LA injured it on a turn around fade away jumper!

Does anyone really think that Aldridge will improve much more at 27? I think this is the player that we can expect to see from here on out.
