Exclusive All Things Brandon Miller

I saw a great description of that movie: the thing that you most want to happen, happens, and then you feel disappointed.

Funny thing is I think this add predates the movie and helped inspire the film. Probably a result of further time travel.

Whatever could happen has happened. That's why it's pointless to want a time machine to kill Hitler. You failed, buddy.

Especially since if I invented a time machine with the intent to kill Hitler, go back in time to kill Hitler, I'd either create a new timeline or in the original timeline I'd never have any reason to go back in time to kill Hitler, and thus not killed him. This is precisely why a TV show like Quantum Leap (the original, not that "ooh look at these shiny things!" abomination that is currently on tv) would never work. The changes Sam made, wouldn't have been known to have been needed in the future if he made them. So how does Al (and Gushy and Ziggy) know?

And further more, why would Sam have gone back in time to save his brothers life if he already had been saved!?

Now if it was all done by *accident*...

Probably not if they keep both Dame and Ant. If one of them is gone, Blazers could certainly pick Scoot.

Ant would likely be gone....and if you can use him to add some wing help, GREAT! Still, it would be another small backcourt that struggles defensively. And now Sharpe is either coming off the bench, or playing out of position at SF. I wonder if Miller could develop into a bit more of a playmaker?

People who've watched him a lot - what NBA player(s) is he most like?

It is difficult to pinpoint him. Many of his strength and weaknesses are literally the same ones listed for Jayson Tatum.

He is not as good of a prospect as Tatum, however. He isn't as smooth of an offensive player nor as a playmaker. He has a tendency to crumble against strong defenses. Thus, it makes sense that he relegates himself towards being a shooter who can move the ball a bit and create his own shot while making the drive for a floater or lay up.

Imagine him more like a Michael Porter Jr. who can attack the rim due to not having serious injuries that hinder his game.

Technically, if he fulfills his potential, that makes him Danny Granger.

He'll fit well with Portland's young core. In all honesty, if teams follow 'the script', the Top 7 in this draft should net a bunch of All-Stars and the few after should be good starter caliber players, as well.

He was asked how teams addressed the shooting with him, and what message he presented to them. Every team, he said, asked him about the shooting. “The message that I presented to them was, just, I saw a lesson learned,” Miller said Wednesday. “You just always have to be aware of your surroundings, and what you’re surrounded by. I feel like that night could have changed my career in less than a heartbeat. So, just always be aware of your surroundings.” I asked what he told teams about what happened that night. “Just what I’ve learned about the situation,” he said, going no further. Another reporter asked if he would do anything different that night. “Like I said, just be more aware of my surroundings, and what I’m surrounded by. I think that could have changed the whole night,” he said.

I asked what changes he’d made since then. “Most definitely,” he said. “Just always checking my surroundings, and surrounding myself with guys, that are just pro guys, that I want to be around.”

That doesn't sound too appealing. I'd rather have Scoot or even roll the dice on Amen.

Indeed. I actually am bigger on Scoot and Amen over Miller but am not selling Miller short (who I think will be 20ppg good, at minimum).

Unless Dame wants to stick around....Scoot, I think, would signal the moving of Lillard AND Ant.

Ant may be able to snatch OG or Orlando's pick, considering both teams need a young guard and are not looking for more forwards. That would be a good core to rebuild with - Scoot+Sharpe+OG/#6 pick+whoever the Blazers get in a Dame trade (ex. Ayton?).

Amen, similar-wise. If you watch the way he moves with and without the ball, he is far too talented to not succeed in the league. Maturity, leadership, IQ, playmaking, and defense will make up for lack of a jumpshot. There really hasn't been a guy in the league who demonstrates all those traits and a high vertical who isn't a star. I keep seeing comparisons to Iguodala and that's a good comparison. However, the Thompson twins are taller, lengthier, and more athletic. Therefore, I see them more like a Pippen/Giannis-lite...or a Ben Simmons that does not lack mental fortitude and WILL fearlessly attack anybody. All these comparisons I mention are good enough to play in the modern NBA so I would not hesitate with his shooting (especially if Ant-Sharpe can cover for him).

Ant-Sharpe-Amen is a good, athletic trio to build around. Again, if you can add Ayton or Claxton to that and draft Leonard Miller at #23, you might be able to secure a defensive front court right then and there.

Draft Zach Edey with the 2nd round pick, as well, to ensure the Blazers don't lack a quality back up center, in the future. Could end up being a better version of Kanter imo.

Scoot---Sharpe---Walker/Ausar/Hendricks/OG---Ayton/Claxton (with Edey off the bench)

Ant---Sharpe---Amen---Ayton/Claxton (Edey off the bench)

That's a flexible and talented young roster to rebuild around. If you don't like it, you can always trade some of those players away because they demonstrate useful qualities that you can cite as "potential." For example, an Ayton will always be worth something...multiple picks. Ant...worth something to a team that needs a 20ppg guard. Defensive guys like Claxton or Thompson? Same thing.

Via Givony: “Its a near consensus in the gym that Charlotte is going to take Brandon Miller”

the time of smoke, mirrors, bullshit, false leaks, and lies has started

you can't believe anything about the draft right now, can't believe any info on team intentions, nothing about how players are rated. None of it

the only thing you can believe is that the Spurs are taking Wemby.

Givony also said Miller is out of shape, and his interviews both publicly and privately have not been good.

You know with Hitler, the more I learn about that guy, the more I don’t care for him

Miles Jupp: "He was whispering to me about Hitler."
Jimmy Carr: "why was he whispering to you about Hitler?"
Miles: "He said, I don't know about you Miles, I'm on the fence"

(About the great, late Sean Lock).

Great as well

This video of one game's highlights helps his value. And makes me pause about trading him.

He's going to be a great shooter. The question is, can he put the ball on the floor and create for himself? It seems he's in the Michael Porter Jr. league.

If he can't put the ball on the floor or attack the basket, I'd rather go for Scoot or Amen probably.

Well, we don't have to choose between Scoot and Miller.

Just like the Spurs we have the easiest draft decision.

What will LeMelo Ball think if Charlotte drafts Scoot Henderson, when they could have drafted Brandon Miller?
Charlotte isn’t drafting Scoot Henderson.
