This is an interesting discussion comparing Scoot Henderson and Brandon Miller. Rob Dauster on the left and Jeff Goodman on the right.
Goodman says," I don't give a shit about fit. If I'm the GM of Charlotte, I'm saying, who is the guy I think has a chance to be a top 5 player down the road."
Dauster: "Who would you take there?"
Goodman: " I haven't seen enough of Scoot. All I'll say is, he can't shoot. Brandon Miller shoots the shit out of it.... He's better than Jabari Smith. He's better at the same stage. Because he can put it on the floor."
Dauster says he's not convinced Miller has the perimeter game of Jayson Tatum.
Goodman says, "Jayson Tatum stood in the corner. First of all, Tatum didn't shoot it well at Duke at all. Like he shot like 35%. When he came into the NBA, they stuck him in the corner for the first half of his rookie year. He didn't put it on the floor at all. It takes time. Jayson Tatum put on a lot of weight up here (shoulders). His first couple of years when he went to the basket, he had no desire for any contact. He had a boy's body when he came out of Duke. Now he has a man's body."
Goodman also says, " I actually think Brandon Miller is a really good passer. I don't think you saw it that much in Alabama. But I saw it on the AAU circuit."
(Goodman was high on Shaedon Sharpe, using comparisons to other players such as Anthony Edwards, at the same age.)
