You’d think that, as a reporter, Fentress would know that fans’ opinions about what’s fair value for Dame don’t mean jack. The only thing that matters is what Cronin and Blazers ownership think about his value. As of right now, it’s clear that they think Miami’s purported offers are crap and they think they can get more by waiting. As long as they’re willing to pay Dame to sit, I can’t disagree with their assessment.

I think the only wrong thing Fentress did in the post is he mentioned Blazers acquiring him when that is not likely but i think the point he was trying to make is Joel's value is more then Dame so what should they want if the Blazers want a ton for him so Joel would command not just the moon but the stars too. I do not really have an opinion on Aaron F. he seems like a solid reporter but some of you need to chill out a little on the name calling crap and grow the hell up just my two cents.

To be fair, Herro/Jovic/Jacquez/2picks is much less than what most Blazer fans want for Dame. And Dame is also not quite on the same level as Embiid.

Sure, that deal that Fentress threw out is better that what Brooklyn got for Durant.

It's better than what Utah got for Mitchell.

It's better than what the Rockets got for Harden.

I'd say it's comparable to what New Orleans got for Anthony Davis, but what Blazer fan has come anywhere near suggesting that Dame is worth the same value as AD?

He wasn't making a point at Joel's value. He was taking a shot at Blazer fans. I don't expect local reporters to be fans by any means. Cover the team objectively. Great. But that was clear as day going the canzano/Jaynes I'm the smart one amongst all the portlanders typical bull shit. Also, who follows Fentress? Why is he posted here?

I don’t think he’s even solid. I sometimes post his stuff because there’s nothing else going on right now. But he’s arguably the smuggest journalist in our city, which is funny because he’s not even good.
