So you're saying Damian Lillard is easily replaced? They say money doesn’t grow on trees, but 6’3 guards do.
No. To. Scoot.
Seems like a good kid and all, but no.
I think they tried to acquire him at the previous deadline before they got RoCo.
This is how: Because the Blazer bench was the biggest reason the team struggled. And honestly I don’t see how Dame would still be on the roster if we got Scoot. I think that would be the end and we would build around Scoot and Shae.
Ant has to go dude. Especially if we drafted Scoot. There’s no way we would go into next season with Dame, Ant, Scoot, and Sharpe.Because the Blazer bench was the biggest reason the team struggled.
Fix the bench with Scoot and Sharpe and some better bench players, the Blazers are in the playoffs.
probably like how Olshey "tried" to acquire PG13 with Meyers and Harkless, or Butler with Turner and Aminu
The Phoenix Suns had Kevin Johnson , Jason Kidd, and Steve Nash on the same team and won 56 games.Ant has to go dude. Especially if we drafted Scoot. There’s no way we would go into next season with Dame, Ant, Scoot, and Sharpe.
100%. He has that hunger of young LeBron, along with his basketball junkie mindset, and yoked out beyond his years body. The height is definitely the biggest difference.Hard to see Scoot not turning out decent at least. Not many players that love basketball in the wall Scoot obviously does. Will probably take a few years though....
Wish he was 6-7.
What I mean is that they were probably looking at Ariza + Ant + 1st (or 2, I'm not sure), which Olshey did not do. He then turned around, traded Ariza and 2 1sts for RoCo that summer.
Still the wrong deal, but I don't think we had a chance at getting Gordon during the following trade deadline.
You're right it was Bazemore. IIRC it was Bazemore + Ant + 1st and Olshey turned that down.it would have had to have been Bazemore at the trade deadline, and Ariza in the off-season. IIRC, Ariza was a deadline day trade
what I remember was rumors Orlando might be interested in CJ for Gordon +, and of course, there's no way Olshey would have trade CJ
foregone conclusion that ant is gone. and i don't think his departure has anything to do with scoot -- it's rather to open up time for Sharpe.Ant has to go dude. Especially if we drafted Scoot. There’s no way we would go into next season with Dame, Ant, Scoot, and Sharpe.
I’m not against using the pick to draft, scoot, or Miller. I just don’t like the idea of drafting somebody and keeping Dame. Especially a guard. Trade the pick for a more polished wing that can help Dame now or use the pick, trade Dame for draft picks/assets for the new Blazers era. All I want is for the team to show that they have a direction.I'm gonna go on record again: I love Scoot. I hope the Blazers get a chance to take him and do the obvious thing of snapping him up.
He’s easier to replace than say, Kevin Durant, yeah. Or realistically any “wing” that is on par with him as a player. So you're saying Damian Lillard is easily replaced?
Players like Damian Lillard are Never easy to replace , PERIOD!He’s easier to replace than say, Kevin Durant, yeah. Or realistically any “wing” that is on par with him as a player.
There are a lot more people born who are 6’3 and under then there are people who are 6’6 and over.
I hear you, but I don't feel the same way.I’m not against using the pick to draft, scoot, or Miller. I just don’t like the idea of drafting somebody and keeping Dame. Especially a guard. Danny Ainge would sell his soul for an extra pick. Might have already done so.We are not winning a ring soon unless we get Giannis or maybe Embiid. Danny Ainge would have traded Dame for 10 first rounders, the number 3 pick to move up and take Scoot
I didn’t say he was easy to replace.Players like Damian Lillard are Never easy to replace , PERIOD!
This is what you said:I didn’t say he was easy to replace.
I said he was “easier” to replace than Kevin Durant.
True or false?
False. KD hasn't won anything on his own either. He chased the ring. Has got ants in his pants as far as staying happy in one place, and is often injured. I don't think he's as good a leader , or closer as Dame. If it comes down to a last shot, i'm giving it to Dame.I didn’t say he was easy to replace.

6’3 guards do, which is a generalized statement. This is what you said:
They say money doesn’t grow on trees, but 6’3 guards do.
Lol, ok buddy. If you honestly think a healthy, prime Durant is easier to replace than Damian Lillard I’ve got oceanfront property in South Dakota for ya.False. Did i say that? No LeBron is on another level. Like MJ.Lol, ok buddy. If you honestly think a healthy, prime Durant is easier to replace than Damian Lillard I’ve got oceanfront property in South Dakota for ya.
Let me guess, Dame is better than LeBron too?
Shaedon Sharpe has basically the same standing reach (8' 7.5" ) and wingspan (6' 11.5" ) as the Thompson twins. If the Blazers draft Scoot Henderson, Sharpe could get minutes at small forward.
