All NBA teams think they're good right now. Detroit is going to be a contender. Houston will win the west.
Now that the Wenbanyama sweepstakes are over, there are Zero teams that will be intentionally tanking to start the 2023-24 season.
The one thing that is guaranteed is that there will be four teams that will be in last place, 2nd to last place, 3rd to last place, and 4th to last place at the trade deadline.

All those teams are tied for 1st place in July.


There is very little MOTIVATION to do anything in July.

Exactly. And I'm legit A-OK with letting Dame rot for a season just to punish Dame, Goodwin and Miami for what they've done. Let Dame feel the pressure of Father Time and if not, maybe we got an expiring contract in four seasons. I would play hardball at a level that would cause Morey to tell me to calm the fuck down. Anywhere but Miami is my motto.

Jalen Green also played for G League Ignite and was the #2 pick in 2021.
Green was regarded as the best shooting guard in his class.
Scoot easily could have been the #2 pick as well.

When he hangs it up he'll be regarded among the all time greats, but coming out of HS he was offered scholarships by Davidson, High Point, William & Mary, Wofford, Virginia Tech, Virginia Commonwealth & Winthrop. After an amazing college career, he was the 3rd PG taken in the 2009 draft both of whom were selected by Minnesota. Combined with the Wiggins fleecing, I've heard jokes that Warriors should put a Timberwolf statue outside of their arena

That’s sort of like using that ‘hey—Jordan got cut from the team in high school ‘ line, though. Steph has been properly rated for a very, very long time. One of the most celebrated players in league history. It’s a bit of a meme at this point that he keeps silencing the doubters (of which there are maybe 3?).
