That was the point of my post. You know deep down inside that wouldnt be true but those are are the type of things that desperation do

Add in the age, the passed team issues, etc, and I'm wondering if Portland would get him for a lower number since it is the 'years' he seems more interested in?

yea if those comments are true, it would be great to see a nice low contract over more years. would also make it easier to move if things turn for the worst

Well Bosh was more than leaning to HOU, he actually even agreed with them and then backed out the next day. So it maybe rare but happens.

With free agency starting at 12:01 a.m. tonight, Hassan Whiteside has scheduled meetings with the Dallas Mavericks and Portland Trail Blazers in the next 24 hours, and the Heat also very much remains in play for his services, according to someone with direct knowledge.

Whiteside has received interest from a bunch of teams, but to this point, he has agreed to meet with only two: Dallas and Portland.

I knew whiteside was too much of an idiot to seriously consider the blazers. Have fun in Dallas assturd.
 
To be fair Woj says his as 9:01 approaches his focus is on Miami and Dallas. He met with Miami today and is apparently meeting with Dallas at 9:01 tonight. Doesn't really imply anything past that we are assuming. We could be assuming correctly though.

Let it begin -- fans go from loving whiteside to name calling when it starts to look like things might not go the Blazers way. My advice to fans who want to get upset , disappointed etc by tweets and such thats fine but i think we need to stay classy and say -- oh well - wish (insert name ) luck and look forward and not back if let's say Whiteside picks the Mavs for example
 
What kind of meltdown would Cuban have if Whiteside said he was going to Dallas and then changed his mind and went to Portland or back to Miami? #DeAndreJordanesque

Just remember the phrase "now and then". Those two words are related in that something is either happening now or it happened then. Than is a comparison word.

He was in a room at a severe disadvantage because everyone knew LA was leaving. Our future looked very bleak last year. That's not the case right now.

with his childish history I could see him doing that actually, he would likely have a full snap chat story about it and every social media outlet would go nuts over it
