Should we match Brooklyn's offer sheet for Allen Crabbe?

I like him well enough to match it. I would then give him a real opportunity to be starter heading into the season.

He's just a real smooth, heady ball player who is growing more confident and consistent with his jump shot. Something you can count on. That and athletically he is gifted. And he also brings something defensively.
I would not be surprised if they match him and start him. Turner can be a great 6 man and ball handler with the bench mob

This! He's a guy who when he shoots, you think its going in. That's valuable as fuck, and he brings other things to the table. And he's an asset. We're in the drivers seat, match.

This may have been a move by Crabbe's agent to get Crabbe some starting roster leverage

And the kid just doesn't make mistakes. I love that.

Lol what? How many times did he foul shooters behind the three point line?

I'm 50/50 on matching though

I also don't buy that he would be discontent in returning to his role in Portland. Quick ain't the most trustworthy source.

You match, easily. That doesn't mean you keep him, but you match. Trade him later. He has good value for teams starving at the shooting guard position.

I like Crabbe but he is not worth that $$ -- it's as simple as that plus you have to take into consideration your gonna have to give CJ a big deal next offseason and maybe even Plumlee too -- you cannot keep everyone.

If we're gonna replace Crabbe through a trade, we should do it now in the next three days while we have some sort of leverage.

From 2nd round pick to getting almost 20 mil a year..good job AC! Not the kinda guy I wanna give up on

I don't know, I didn't hardly watch the team last year. I just know when I have tuned in, I've been impressed with him.

Match it. No Question.

Do you think the Nets are the kind of douchebags that after Neil matches Crabbe they then give Harkless the same kind of contract?

Would you match it?

I would. You have to bring back your guys no matter what or else the Ezeli deal is pointless.

Just my opinion.

Meyers - Here's a QO

Mo - We'll pay you, screw that Laker money

Crabbe - PA's money or NO's "Let's Make a Deal"

He even said if he cannot start he does not want to be in Portland -- let the guy go -- he will be missed but like i said -- cannot keep everyone

Match and then trade. I'd rather get something instead of nothign.

As much as i love Moe, i think Evan signing more-so covers for his departure rather than Crabbe. Match.

Geez -- ya let's have someone sitting on the bench getting 20 min or so making near 20 m -- great idea -- thank god your not the GM or owner

It's not a perfect situation and sometimes you gotta bite the bullet even if it sucks

Just because Crabbe is a bench player in Portland doesn't mean he's not a starter in some other teams eyes. I'm leaning towards matching. I think teams would trade for him. Even with that contract.

Batum also released a statement saying he wanted to go when the Minnesota offer sheet was signed. We ended up trading him later.
