This kind of shit is exactly what portland fans deserve. Lillard is gold. He wants his team to be great and everyone is buying in. I still think we surprise the fuck out of this league, but please, keep expressing your doubts, keep tossing gas on these flames.

Big props to leonard and CJ to set aside ego and lead by following.

Everyone's jaw gonna drop when blazers fly around the court and make beautiful cuts/passes. Im really excited to see this team gel and cant wait to celebrate the break out seasons.

This one looks like it is coming back at Kaman

Okay, maybe not what he should be working on, but . . . wow

This is really impressive to see them all out there; even the old guy Kaman, the guy must really love basketball. And I like that.
I'm a real Kaman fan since he's been here! To me he's worth every penny for his role. He's a leader with a sense of humor..always a good thing...good to see you posting UKRAINEFAN!

I like to see them playing, but I really like to see them banging hard while playing. Looks like there is some good contact going on. And this is a group of pretty big, strong guys. Hoping Kaman is teaching a lot during this time. So many could learn from him.

Miller is a prima donna who doesnt think Dame is a leader? What else could it be?

NOTHING

“I came to the gym yesterday and Luis Montero was playing one-on-one and I jumped in, just challenged him a little bit,” said Lillard. “Like, I got real physical with him and I went hard on him, kind of beat him up a bit in the one-on-one. You could tell he looked a little shocked.

“But now, me and him just had a long conversation about international play, stuff like that. You can tell that me being around instead of trying to be a star — I get my workout then I disappear or I lift separate from everybody else, not communicating — you can tell it really has an impact. Now when I walk up to him and I’m like ‘Luis, you got to have your ass in the corner! You got to be there!’ he’s just gonna say ‘Alright Dame, I got you’ instead of him thinking I’m just coming down on him because I think I’m a star. I think that’s why being around each other is so important. Now we can hold each other accountable.”

Gettin hyped, slowly but surely.

I canceled the autopay for renewal of LP a few weeks back. Might need to fire that up again.

Who is that dunking?

Yep, me too. He earned his $4.8 million last season mentoring Meyers Leonard alone. All these young guys (Leonard, Plumlee, Vonleh, Davis) are much more athletic that Kaman ever was, but he has such fundamentally sound footwork in the low post, he can teach them so much. And, he seems to enjoy passing along that knowledge to younger players. Of all the vets we had last year, I'm glad Olshey chose to keep Kaman. He's a perfect fit as a veteran mentor for all of our young bigs. Leonard and Vonleh already have great shooting touch, but lack Kaman level low post moves. Plus, I can't wait to see how much Plumlee and Ed Davis improve on the offensive end after working with/against Kaman in practice every day.

Nice to see C.J. looking so fit. After the injury his rookie year, he came in a little pudgy and it slowed him down. He looked better last year, especially as the season went on and he played himself into game shape as his minutes increased. He looks the fittest I've seen him in these photos. Going into training camp in great shape bodes well for a potential breakout season.

If I had any photoshop skills, I would put put in a steeplechase barrier underneath him, and a horse in the background jumping the same barrier.

Harkless and Montero are the two acquisitions I criticized. If you know me, it follows that in the preseason, I will probably designate one as my Favorite Player of the Year, defend him all year, and still defend him years after he's gone against Boob.

I enjoyed watching Montero in summer league. Great play, bad turnover......dunk......stupid foul! At least he'll be exciting. Reminds me of a poor mans Anteduacumbooduakadtrapo or whatever his name is.

You stole that from Rice right?
