OT ...American Sniper

...riveting movie to say the least...my wife even watched it straight through, something she's only done about 3-4 times since I've known her.



...though it seemed believable and was well produced, it's still hard to fathom what Chris went through...or his wife either for that matter. After surviving 4 tours of duty, I found the way in which he ultimately died very ironic.

No doubt a great movie, with an ironic sad ending. Tho' they downplayed what a .50 caliber Sniper Rifle actually does. Those head shots, would of looked like exploding watermelons, and chests shots, decapitating. Or so, I am thinking.

I took my wife to a THX theater last week to watch it. Sounded like bullets flying all around the room.

... lol...yeah, it's not exactly legal but out here where we're at, Netflix and outlets like it don't work well because they are constantly buffering. That's because the broadband service we have is only about 1.5 MBS...and we're 15 miles from the nearest theatre, curb store, gas station, etc., which is the way we like it actually.

...I can stream youtube etc., to my TV from my laptop using Chromecast but even that is kinda choppy...my Son turned me onto the torrent thing several years ago and that's how I download my music and movies...but yeah, it actually is cheating in a way...but no worse than being forced to use a narrow bandwidth provider that charges me $75 month for substandard service.

It was an ironic terrible tragedy which ended Chris Kyle's life.
He is what helps make this a great free country.
