No offense, because we're strictly talking about tastes here, but this is the first video you've posted in a while that I've been into, and I'm glad to see that you're into The Doors, because I thought we had polar opposite tastes musically.

The Doors have always been one of my favorites (at one time, probably my absolute favorite). For conversation's sake though, what do ya'll think would have happened if Morrison had lived another decade or so? I used to really get upset thinking about their potential, but I've also thought about all the shitty music that came out in the late 70's and early 80's. Some great musicians, like Steve Miller, started incorporating bullshit synth sounds into their music and started sounding cheesy as all hell. I could just see Ray Manzarek going that route with The Doors if they had stayed together, so in a way, I think it's better that Morrison died when he did, before their amazing legacy and catalog was forever tainted, like when Airplane turned into Starship.

With that said, two of my favorite Doors songs of all-time are Love Street and Queen of the Highway, but if I had to pick between the two, I've gotta go with Love Street -

This was kind of a sappy love song, but I liked it....as I did most of Gates'/Bread's songs...

Say what you want about 311 but they are still one of the best live bands to go see. Not many bands can sound the same in person as they do in audio format.
