I’d take Culver if the trade were different for sure.He was, and I bought into the hype (although not to the level of those players).
But, again, McLemore's by-far chief asset was as a distance shooter. If that doesn't work (and it didn't), nothing else in his game was good enough to cover for that. Funny aside, but I wonder if he's a guy that could be a value FA for the Blazers, another reclamation project who could resuscitate his career here.
Getting back to Culver, though, Culver's calling card is defense and being able to create inside the arc while having a solid 3-point stroke. He's built like McLemore, but he has a lot more ways he can contribute.
For example if it were Ingram, Moore, Hill, 4, and 39 for CJ I’d take Culver.
