And you are the most bias one in here Chris. So yeah hat doesn’t mean much to me. I have watched him insult people many times and others behind the scenes see it too. It is what it is though. Can’t wait till he gets to walk the line again and get away with it time and time again and then the claim will be “he’s attacking the post.”

You see, this has always been my problem with this. I don’t call for dviss or anybody getting banned. Just call it fair. You can’t let people hang around in this gray area. That’s bullshit. I don’t think it’s some crazy personal insult but saying “I own real estate in your head” definitely isn’t nice towards a poster. Its shit dviss constantly gets away with. Whether it’s “y’all this and y’all that. Y’all white people this”. He accuses people all the time and gets away with it. You let people walk this “gray area” so they can basically be assholes without directly being assholes basically. It’s why people like me and others don’t really care to post in the OT section anymore. But when I see shit like this and dviss can walk this gray area or barfo or whoever it is. That’s unfair. I witness it first hand. It is what it is though, i will just watch from the stands while you let this OT section die a little more and become the biggest echo chamber for the far left.

At least the basketball part of the forum goes pretty well. This OT section is shit though.

My impression of the OT section is there are 3-4 posters on both sides who seem to bait and goad the other side, and then cry wolf when they get the reaction they KNEW they were going to get.

Many people walk the grey line including you. None of the mods like it. When people go over the line whether its you, dviss or whoever, shit gets deleted and the poster gets warned. Rules are rules. Many decide to push the envelope.

I don't care for baiting and goading no matter what side it comes from. That shit gets removed when I see it. Use the report button. It will get taken care of.

Honestly I kind of hate politics, and I understand the climate right now is very tense on both sides so I use the internet to look at things I like, say Basketball. :)
Its very hard to have discussions on politics, and that type of stuff right now, I figure I have nothing to add so its best I stay away.
Even here I dont remember clicking on the OT section, but here I am lol...

What exactly is the problem with what Dviss posted? Now, keep in mind, I deleted or edit insults all the time. It doesn't matter who posts them. I don't play favorites. What I'm asking for you is to just talk to me about this. I need something that is clear and understandable so I can explain clearly to the other mods.

I try and I know that the other mods very much try to call it fair. But what is grey for me compared to others is very subjective. How do you define what gray is it is a uniform and fair rule?

Again, not a personal insult. Just a few days ago someone in the main part of the forum insulted everyone in the forum. It was insulting but not a personal insult.

I understand that you think it's unfair, that's why I'm trying to have a discussion with you about it.

As far as being an echo chamber for one side that's up to you guys. I think Maris does an excellent job of posting positive things about Trump.

What some of you don't realize that this is a catch all sub forum to keep non sports related discussions out of the main forum. It's not politics only. It's always going to suck compared to other politics based forums.
 
Nah, political based forums suck more because the posters are so full of themselves. Here its only the liberals that are like this.

Chris is allowed to have opinions. I have yet to see his personal or political opinions affect his decisions and/or actions as a moderator.

Just so you know, Chris read your post about your concern over Dviss post and wasn't sure what to do so he sent me a private message. That's how I knew something was up. I wasn't going to even sit down at my compute but I got a notification. He handled it perfectly and now I'm trying to have a conversation with you about it.

If it was me, I wouldn’t want politics on here at all. It just causes division and conversations that go no where. Unproductive. I know that’s not possible. I don’t care for pro trump shit or anti trump shit. It just seems when somebody has an opinion that differs from the majority of antifa Oregon USA then they get the gray area treatment. And when I say antifa Oregon I’m not saying anybody here supports that, it’s just a direct reflection on how left the city is which then reflects on the forum considering most are either from here or grew up here meanwhile I can get shitted on for being from Damascus. Barfo really likes to point this one out. It’s the gray area baiting right there. People are smart asses and they bait and just because I respond straight forward back or if somebody else does, they are the ones that get punished meanwhile the gray area smart ass just gets away with it time and time again. I don’t think dviss saying “I own real estate in your head” is very productive. Funny he says that while calling others out for baiting. I’m not saying dviss has personally insulted him today by saying that but it’s definitely a smart ass gray area bullshit tactic that goes on here.

Did anybody care some months back when dviss implied by me being a gun owner he felt unsafe to any blazer event I would go to involving him because he feared for his life? He has made that same implication with somebody else in the forum, I forget but it wasn’t long ago. How is that okay? If he wants to attack a post, great, I have done it many times myself but the whole “white people this and white people that”. I get it, very far left city but come the fuck on, it’s divisive and unnecessary. I can’t recall threads because I haven’t posted a lot here in the last couple months but there are definitely times where dviss freaks out on people and tows that line but apparently that’s okay. I can bait people and be a little smart ass as long as I’m just on that line. That’s some lame shit. Good thing I was raised differently. You have a problem, you say it directly. However a lot of members on the forum like to tow the line and imply things. Shit that I was insulted by. You know how many times somebody has implied I was racist on this forum because I had a different opinion? That’s okay though to you guys even though there is no proof to it, they can just repeat it so much that other forum members see it and just assume I’m some racist. “Oh he’s just from Damascus, tehehehe”

Shits middle school. Be adults. Have conversations and learn that not everybody who has a different opinion than you isn’t a racist or “alt right” or even fucking right wing. That goes for the whole OT section.

Right but when the excuse starts to become this whole gray area thing, that just means I could start claiming this gray area just to throw shots and be a smart ass. Personally insulting without directly personally insulting but any adult and logical thinking person know what these people who use this gray area actually are trying to do and get across. It’s a way to start shit and not be held accountable for it. Difference between a gray area and obviously somebody trying to start shit or be an asshole.
