There's so much talk for and against Hedo right now. So, let's get this straight. I can't figure out of the majority of us want or don't want him. So let me know.

Yes. He's one of the only available options right now that can take us to the next level in the immediate future.
With Hedo and an improved LA and Oden, we win 4-6 more games next year and make it to the 2nd round of the playoffs, maybe even WCF.

I don't think there's any way I can answer this without knowing more. How much are we paying him? How many years?
60/5yrs? Against.
50/5yrs? Against.
30/3yrs? For.
40/4 years? On the fence.
etc.
I think there are going to be many fans who will be upset next year because of our win total. I have a feeling it will actually go down.
That being said, With Hedo and an improved Aldridge and Oden we will win in the playoffs.
I am on the fence about Hedo. I think he may be best available upgrade but that doesn't make him a great addition. 5 years for 10 million a year is too much, but Portland probably has no choice.
KP painted himself into a corner where it is now or never. Unfortunately for all concerned, now isn't all that great a time to make a move.
All things considered, I would rather have Artest then Hedo.
Ariza can go fuck himself.

If we have an injury to a key player I could see that happening. We we're fortunate with very few injuries to key players last season.
Simply....yes! The only asset it costs is green-backs, rather than players or picks!
He becomes (immediately) our second best player (behind Roy). He is a late-gamer who can take some of the pressure off Roy to be SUPER on every possession. I forsee a Rudy-Roy-Hedo-LA-GO lineup late in games - so the defense must ask....who do we guard????
It's an upgrade to our team. I hope it isn't the only one this summer.
