Good move. He hasn't seen serious game time in a while. It'll be good for him to play some games.

Jeez. We're losing players left and right, and yet we're sending him to the D-League??

Source?

Thanks to Patty this is possible, he has been quite the pleasant surprise this year, I never thought he would actually suffice as a back up.

Armon has a ton of potential, he needs to be playing though, good move to send him down.

that would be great news so this horrible johnson expirement will finally end and we can release him

what a jerk, the guy has some ability and is just very green, whether he will be a viable player is yet to be determined. Think or say bad things about others amigo and sometimes they come back to you.

that would be great news

sorry just cause hes a blazer, doesnt mean i lost my sight. he sucks and we can do 1000 times better. the blazers have a habit of wasting time on players..... they need to start cutting ties with garbage.

being a blazer has nothing to do with it. There are few players I despise more than Birdman/Lebron/KG but I dont wish injuries on them or view it as good news. hence the

listen i really dont want the kid hurt... im just saying it would be a blessing to fans and the blazers instead of wasting time with this kid.

That makes no sense at all. How exactly are you and the Blazers "wasting time with this kid" who isn't playing even a second in games?

He's a young player who may or may not, someday, be a rotation player. What kind of player would the Blazers be better-served to have at the end of the bench?

That's easy. Bill Russel in his prime. If Bill Russel in his prime is your end of the bench towel waver - you can safely say you are a contender.

rotation plater? we can find a better player in dleague. least those kids can score.

But we don't need scoring from the end of our bench, do we?

I'm not a HUGE Johnson fan, but I think he has some potential. He will almost certainly never be a big-time scorer, but as he's a PG that is just fine with me. I think that he has really good size and seems to have good defensive skills. If his decision-making improves and his shooting gets a tad better, he'll be a pretty good player.

I'll take that possibility over having someone who's more mature scoring the basketball right now.

this team needs scoring badly not defense

He's at the end of the bench. No player is providing anything right now from the end of the bench.

There's no one good enough as a street free agent that we can put into our lineup and get scoring punch from, IMO. Given that fact, we should have the best prospects occupying the end of our roster.

Yeah. Multitasking gets to even ME sometimes :)

yeah right, you just tipped your hand on who you think our PGOTF is :sherlock:

Actually they need both badly if they plan to win.

As for Johnson I see him as more of a career backup in the mold of an Eric Snow type point IF he's able to put it together. Which really has nothing to do with the team's long-term scoring needs in the; I'm hopeful that they'll eventually draft or trade to fill those needs, but that doesn't preclude Armon from providing defense and running an offense.

Good for Armon and a nice endorsement for Patty. Armon will get minutes and confidence in Idaho.
