I find this video mystifying. Firstly, I have never seen a 5 lb plate so big - no, it clearly say LBS not KG. I zoomed the white plate, and it's 10 lbs. The thin plate in the middle is much smaller than the 5, so it's probably a 1. So, he's lifting a 16 x 2 + bar. It looks more like my 35 lb. bar than a regular 45 lb bar, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

So, he's lifting 77 lb. He did 2 reps, and started with the bar not on the ground. Is this "in the lab" material? Actually confused.

That all sounds exactly on brand for LeBron, actually...

The true weight he is lifting depends on the gravity of the planet he is working out on.

You spend the offseason working out on a planet with stronger gravity than Earth. When you come back for the NBA season, you will be faster and jump higher than the players who didn't train off-planet.

This is the opposite of what Greg Oden should have done, except he should have just played in a league that was entirely based on a planet (or moon) with much much lighter gravity than Earth. Earth's gravity took such a toll on Oden.

I love watching LeBron play but one good thing that will happen when he retires is all of the LeBron haters will stop their whining.

i can tell you one thing for sure; once the nba gets the expansion thing sorted and Helium gets there own team, games on Barsoom will be highly entertaining and garner the largest audience shares. (might should'a put this post in "If The Blazers Are Moved " thread 'cause this possibility would have greatly impacted my vote.)

And of course travelling faster than the speed of light to and from that planet reduces his age by a few months every time he takes that trip. Couple months every year adds up over time.

No we won't.

For one thing, there is no way that ego goes off quietly into the sunset. We'll never be rid of him.

Simons off the bench as an impact scorer? Who ever would have thought such a thing?

It’s crazy

This was the obvious choice, IMO. I was honestly shocked when there were reports that Simons would start.

Simons doesn't do anything aa well as Payton Pritchard.

It's like Joe Mazzulla has an S2 account and has been reading pretty much everything said about Simons for the last 2-3 years. Maybe Chauncey should hire someone from S2 as an assistant coach. Obviously @THE HCP is not filling him in.

Actually, the most interesting part of this is that the Blazers really want to make the playoffs this year or next - so they can send their pick to Chicago and not lost the ability to swap with Milwaukee in 2028...

Their push for win now makes sense when you think about it that way.
Considering the 2026 draft is strong and 2027 is epically weak the best asset play in theory should be one more lottery year then make the playoffs after next season.
