One last note if they allow these guys to be this physical in playoffs, Boston may not win the title. Boston relies heavily on the 3 point shot, when they face a good defensive team they may struggle to get those 3’s.

They always dial back the physicality and up the ticky tacks the deeper into the playoffs it gets.

Seeing the Lakers/Luka go out in the first round, Does this do anything for the Mavs fans frustration?

The Spurs don't have any of the Bucks picks though. So no control by the Bucks over any of them.

How many of these 36 draft picks are unrestricted 1st round picks?

Would San Antonio trade Cooper Flagg for Giannis (if they get the 1st pick in 2025)?

Here's Milwaukee's situation:

All's currently quiet on the "Gobert gets played off the floor in the playoffs" front.
To be fair here they were playing a team with no answer for him. I can give him some credit as he did play very well but when they play the next series who I assume will be the Warriors he will have a very tough time staying on the court. It would be that way with the Rockets as well.

If SA gets the number one pick this year, it will be hard not to just quit basketball altogether.

If there was a Spurs-Bucks deal for GA, what if Portland got involved and gave back the 28 and 30 swaps in exchange for the Spurs 2 lotto picks in this deep draft?

And as part of the deal, the Spurs have to tell us who THEY would have drafted at 8 and 14! :D

Yeah, I have my doubts about that one. But Minny has been on a tear recently, so we'll see. Also, I just don't believe the Lakers can play defense if they're playing Austin Reeves and Luka at the same time.
Shoulda had more faith in myself.

The Lakers bowing out early allows Luka to spend more time on what he does best... eating

STOMP

Also gives other Laker teammates their opportunity to work on flopping.

That's not the argument.

Curry puts in effort on D, even though he's bad.

Luka puts in minimal effort. The EFFORT is the issue.

I think we Blazer fans put a higher priority on defense because of all those years when the Blazers sucked at it

but defense is still important:

7 of the top 8 teams are still alive in the playoffs; and 10 of the top-14 teams still alive. The one outlier is the 22nd ranked Denver Nuggets

however, and maybe this is just one of those self-evident DUH stats, it looks like net rating is more predictive than defensive rating:

the Nuggets are offsetting their weaker defense with the 4th best offense in the league

and we all know that Orlando, with the 2nd best defense, but the 27th best offense, and a negative net rating, really needs more offense out of their back-court. Blazers can assist

curry won championships and he's not a lockdown defender
Curry works on defense and he is a better defender than people give him credit.

Just for reference, in 13 years in the NBA, Dame had only 2 years where he had a positive DBPM, in 16 years in the NBA, Curry had only 4 years he had a negative DBPM. Curry is underrated on the defense side. Sure, he is not great, but he holds his own. He is not usually a liability (he will be for big, strong players that can handle like Lebron and Ant, for example, but that's true for most defenders).
