Right. Tv money: millions and millions in revenue. Ticket sales: 100’s of thousands in revenue.

i haven't had my eight cup of coffee yet. Shut it.
Work on your math. At an average ticket price of $100, one game generates about $2 million in ticket revenue. So $41 million per season per team. That’s over $1 billion per season for the NBA in ticket sales every season not including playoffs. Not “hundreds of thousands.”

Except not many teams actually average $100 a ticket and very few sell out not to mention they sell corporate sponsorship blocks for much less and then there are boxes. No they don’t make billions off ticket sales.

The discussion was first if the NBA gets extra REVENUE from a series with additional playoff games. HCP said no TV revenue is fixed. I said they get extra revenue from ticket sales.

Somehow that turned into discussion of gross margins, 82 game ticket haul, and size of the parking lot.

Imagine what it costs to stripe that parking lot...

Because those playoff game are absolutely sold out and those tickets are much more expensive. I assume the teams do get more money and not just that but the overall team brand gets a bunch of exposure. You can expect to see OKC and Pacer gear selling much better this next year.

What exactly is the "developing " part of the story?

Have teams always been allowed to announce trades prior to the draft?

He didn't say billions but i get both sides. Likely somewhere in the middle.

Not a great start for Indiana.

Not sure if I'm more impressed with OKC tonight or that somehow on Friday Indy was nearly up 3-1 on this team.

Refs save OKCs ass everytime
