Over/under on how many games it takes for Christian Wood to be pissed about Doncic’s usage?

Wow that’s a shit trade for Houston.
Or rather thats the marketplace for a center that doesnt defend who doesnt win, while on an expiring contract.

While Grant isnt a center, you can easily see the parallels between him and Wood.

To see these sources readily think Jerami is worth #7 is infuriating

Yup. I’d send them the Milwaukee pick and Keon or some shit. Rather draft Sharpe or Mathurin and move Keon.

Rockets were lucky to get any first for Wood.

He’s a decent scorer, but a horrible defender and has a 50/50 shot to be a toxic presence on your team. Oh, and he’s also expiring and wants to get paid.

No way that is worth a lottery pick.
The 26th pick is about fair value.

That's a shit deal.
It's such a shitty deal. Rockets fans are tweeting to Bill Simmons who said the same thing that Wood is a problem and doesn't play any defense but what they don't seem to know or remember is the way he got the deal he's on was playing great defense for the Pistons, hitting threes and attacking the rim. The fact is motivation is a hard thing to sustain on a team that's trying to lose year in and year out. That won't be the case in Dallas and in hindsight I think the very few people that aren't already calling this highway robbery, will be.

Houston has 3, 17, and 26 now.

Surprised at the poor return for Wood tbh. He's not that much less impactful for winning than Grant.

Good trade for the Mavs. Nice balance for Luka and gives them some size. Wood will get 10-12 rebounds a game plus 15-20 points on many nights.
They sure didn't have to give up much for him.

I believe Dallas got the best of this deal. Not sure Woods was a good fit at all. Luka needs some help. Woods is better defensively than most are saying and Kidd will make sure of it.

He looked like a really good defender in Detroit before he got this deal. He has been on a Rockets team the last two seasons that has been trying to lose and has given him no help on either side of the ball. So I'm betting that he's a solid rim protector who can get out on the perimeter and stay with guys when he is engaged and supported by other guys capable of defending and motivated to do so.

It's really funny to judge anyone on seasons they play for a tanking team, when they aren't in a contract year. Next season he'll be playing to win and to get a new contract.

This sets the rate for John Collins too. He's got similar production for a similar role.

John Collins is not similar to wood. I wish their values were the same but JC is a much better offensive and defensive player.

Player #1___18 points 10 rebounds per game
Player #2___16 points 8 rebounds per game

both players averaged 30.8 minutes per game.

That's similar production, which is what I said.
Player #1 is Christian Wood.
Player #2 is John Collins.

One of those players doesn't have to share touches with Trae Young or play next to Clint Capela.

Offseason is young but this move helps Dallas stay ahead of us for next year.

Dallas, Golden State, Memphis, Phoenix, Utah, Denver, Minnesota, New Orleans, Los Angeles Clippers....

Who do we move ahead of? Maybe Utah implodes. Maybe Zion never plays. Maybe Anthony Edwards doesn't take another step. Maybe the Clippers stay injured.

It is going to be a rough battle. Hope Cronin pulls magic out of his ass.

You know maybe you’re the one that should’ve gotten that GM job instead of Cronin.
Yeah, I'll be all like "I was on Bones" and they'll be like "oh my god, I love that show, what can I do for you?" and then I'll go in for the kill.

A healthy Dame gets us past half of those teams.

I don't know about that. Depends on his supporting cast. I don't see him getting past Dallas, Golden State. Memphis and a healthy Denver....probably not. Phoenix and Utah are wait and sees for their offseasons. Clippers with a healthy PG and Kawhi, not so sure.
