I wonder if LeBron regrets signing that extension cause after this trade if NOT for that new deal I would have put money on James trying to get back " home" to the Cavs

Pretty good. Sexton was redundant. I think Laurri was too. All I know is that roster is much stronger than Portland's. That's 3-4 guys---Garland, Donovan, Allen, and probably Mobley---that are all-star caliber. I am depressed.

Wow. Well I've worked with him 3 separate times and can say that he is a genuinely decent dude. Family first with him. Dealing with NBA players for 20 years now, I can attest to that quality is not the norm. That scores points with me. Funny thing is, my only 2 interactions with Curry....he and his brother were pricks!
I've always got the sense Steph was a prick.

Love that for Cleveland.

I'm low on all of the Cleveland guys going in the trade though and those picks will likely all be outside the top 10.

Utah is going to be bad for at least 5 years.
Most likely so the swaps aren't really a consideration for me when I look at this deal.

The 2 unprotected NY was supposedly offering would have been the better option imo

unless disaster strikes the Cavs, pretty safe assumption they will be a good team for the next 3-5 years. So, the first two picks to Utah will likely be in the twenties; the first swap likely won't happen. So, any substantial payoff for Utah in terms of picks is probably 5-7 years out, at best

Sexton and Markannen are decent players. But Sexton, like Mitchell, seems much more an undersized 2-guard. I don't see a lot of value in those type of guards. I'll be curious to see what his new contract is

seems pretty clear that Jazz ownership gave up and threw in the towel of the Mitchell/Gobert team. So they looked for a GM that could tear it all down and Ainge was available

Then you would have hated MANY players on your beloved Blazers over the years.
Yeah, I wasn't a fan of Sheed's either. I was happy when he was traded. But I rooted for him to do well and stop being a fucking idiot when he was here.

Thats so much.
yes, but its a great deal for the cavs

they get scoring & they can cover mitchell on defense with all their length and mitchell himself is competent defender (when he wants to be)

cavs will be really, really dangerous team going forward

Mobley is a stud for sure. The rest are good but not elite IMO

Ainge and Presti goals are just to collect draft picks.

Please tell me you had more than two interactions with Seth.
